We visited Mythos at Citywalk and the environment was wonderful, spacious place with very comfortable couches and chairs, design inspired by Greece but not the typical 'cheesy' look that some tavernas have, we are talking about a high-end decoration. The garden that we sat was full of green and the a/c in the perfect temperature. Service was friendly and fast, nice chilling greek music in the proper sound volume. In terms of food, as a Greek I can tell it was good, especially the hand cut fries, the greek salad, the tzatziki dip and the zucchini balls as starters. The main dish that I enjoyed most was the seafood yiouvetsi (orzo pasta), very delicious and not heavy with red sauces etc. I liked that the menu has several greek dishes that you rarely find in other Greek restaurants in Dubai, such as the 'stifado' or the 'kleftiko'. The dishes that I was a little bit disappointed were the taramosalata which was way too salty, the fried zucchini was oily and the crust was bigger than the actual zucchini slice inside, and also the spanakopita (spinach pie) was not tasty, cause the phyllo pastry was not crispy and the filling was not creamy and I could barely understand the spinach and feta flavor. But the dessert that came to us complimentary (they offered it because it was my friend's bday) the 'loukoumades' with vanilla ice cream were so luscious.

A delightful culinary journey From the moment I stepped into this restaurant, the staff and ambiance provided a special dining experience. Nestled in a cozy corner, this gem of a restaurant offers a minimalistic ambiance that instantly puts you at ease, allowing the focus to squarely fall on their exceptional culinary offerings. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and inviting, with subtle decor that echoes the simplicity and authenticity of Greek cuisine. It's clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered to transport diners straight to the heart of Greece, from the charmingly understated table settings to the warm, welcoming service that makes you feel like family. But, of course, the real star of the show is the food. Each dish we ordered was a revelation, bursting with flavors that speak of the freshest ingredients and a genuine passion for Greek culinary traditions. The menu, though rooted in authenticity, showcases a creative flair that elevates traditional recipes to something truly extraordinary. From the perfectly grilled meats that melt in your mouth to the delectably seasoned seafood and the array of mouthwatering starters, every bite was a testament to the skill and dedication of the kitchen. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food in a serene and minimalist setting.

Bright, friendly, and tasty food. Absolute delight to be here. Most food is prepared fresh and in a very unique Greek way. The wooden seating is very nice, with bright lighting and some options for external seating to enjoy the sun in the winter months. Tables are well spaced and can cater to solo diners, couples, and for big and small groups of diners. The restaurant can get a bit busy with lots of diners during peak lunch and dinner times. Their service is a bit slow, but when you receive their food, you would not complain as most food is prepared fresh. The food and drink menu is very cool and serves vegetarians too. The parking to the restaurant is at the building ground level. The security team would assist you with the parking. Once parked, one has to take a quick spiral stair to the lake level to reach the restaurant. For wheelchair, it is a bit tricky as they have to use one of the lifts in one of the Cluster P buildings and reach the basement parking and negotiate their way to the restaurant. Not an impossible task. The restrooms are located outside the restaurant in the basement. One has to leave the restaurant to visit the restrooms. Overall a great Greek dining experience, with no regrets.

Overall experience is 2, for such high expectations of how a wannabe fancy place should provide. Obviously the awards they received are really misleading. Seems like awards are all about politics.

I will state the pros also, please read full.

Cons: No paper menu, only QR code. Well, a phone is small and I won't carry or buy a smart phone just for the restaurant. Many costumers think this way, the restaurant must cater to everyone. Further more, it is difficult to read a pdf menu on a small screen. I recommend to print the menu on the paper table cover or a few A4 paper pages for elder people or people like us and this won't go against covid rules. The QR code sign still remains a contact point for every guest because everyone touching it, so no point having it. JUST HAVE A FEW PAPER MENU please! It is clean! Could be disposable if needed.

Food is not up to par, portions are also small for such a high price. Souvlaki skewers were dry! So as their "signature" drilled octopus for 80+ AED. Tasted either overcooked or was frozen before. Left half of it as there was nothing to enjoy in it.

This price and quality does not worth it at all, people go there because it is fancy, trendy and have alcohol and they certainly have no taste for quality. If you want a real good and traditional Greek food where Greek people go, at another block at JLT there is one.

Pros: Service for us at least was ok. Washroom nice and clean. Great overall ambiance.

Overall really disappointed, will not go back. If they keep doing it this way, I would not be surprised if the customer number would drop. On the other hand, sad to see some people call...

Visited Mythos on Friday 25/08. We were a group of 4 and had a booking for 10pm. We arrived on time and were informed that the table 'wouldn't be long'. Ten minutes passed and we asked again, to which Diya (the host) replied, with a smug look on his face, that it will be 'soon', when pressed by us 'in a bit'. He also confirmed that when we had made the booking for 10pm he really meant that we would be seated some time between 10 and 10:30 (10:30 at the latest). Very unusual assumption to make, the table was booked for 10, we had made a booking but were still expected to wait another 30 minutes. It reached 10:30, we enquired again and Diya confirmed they were clearing the table. It wasn't until 10:45 when we finally sat down.

The food and the waitstaff were lovely and attentive and it's such a shame that the face of the restaurant is treating customers with such disrespect. Really really disappointing experience. I hope the owner understands how the restaurant is being portrayed. While we were waiting another group walked out because they had been waiting so long.

EDIT: Response below is incorrect. Originally booking was for 8pm outside. After this was discussed between the group we called and moved the booking to 10pm so we could sit inside (two of people have asthma and the outdoor courtyard is full of smoke). We were not advised on the phone that we would be seated 45 minutes after our booking time. We didn't receive an apology and you were asked at least 3 times how long the table would be prior to finally seating...

We loved the restaurant when we visited a couple of weeks ago and decided to book here for a little celebration this evening. Sadly, nobody asked the reason for our booking at any point - a missed opportunity by the team. Upon arrival, we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. We then proceeded to sit and order both food and drinks fairly quickly. Sadly, the food took longer than it should have, for which the waitress did actually apologise when serving the food. We ordered the mixed grill, to try to sample a few of the dishes which had been recommended to us, and unfortunately not a single item was served to the right temperature. The lamb chop was overcooked, lacking in flavour, contained very little meat. The steak was cooked as requested but served only slightly warm (rather than hot). The chicken skewer (yes, just 1 share!) was very tasty, but also not served hot enough, and clearly not enough for 2 people. The meatballs were the only item that were adequately heated upon arrival. Sadly they were somewhat bland. The waitress made zero effort to engage with us - evidently just ticking the boxes of basic service. I had hoped to be able to pick out a manager, but there was no evidence of any management presence whilst we were there. So, in summary we left significantly disappointed by both the service and the food. I do not think we will be returning anytime soon. Which is a huge shame, as we love the venue and had heard such great things about the quality of...
