A Mixed Experience of Good Food and Disappointing Service. I recently visited this restaurant and, while the food and ambience were generally pleasant, the service left much to be desired. Let's start with the positives: the food was nice, and the coffee was particularly enjoyable. However, the service was disappointing. We requested outdoor seating and were promptly shown to an area. However, when we asked to switch to a different spot with cushions (as the ones we were initially assigned was a picnic table style) we were met with indifference. The waitress simply left with the menu in hand without any response to our request. There was no follow-up or communication about whether cushions would be provided, so we waited patiently, unsure if they'd even bring them. After a while, the cushions arrived, but they were dirty—some even had bird droppings on them. No one bothered to check which side was clean, and the staff didn’t seem to care much about it. While waiting for the cushions, we realized there was no one attending to us—despite there being several staff members inside ,some chatting with each other. No one approached us with the menu until much later when one staff saw my friend raising her hand. The delay between dishes arriving was far longer than expected. Not an issue but worth mentioning. The most irritating part of the experience was how the staff treated our requests. Each time we asked for something—whether it was condiments or to add to our order—the waitress would either rush off before we could finish speaking or simply ignore us. At one point, she randomly told one of my friends, "It’s only two of us," possibly referring to the number of staff handling the tables outside. It was completely random and left us confused. While the food is worth considering, I’m not sure I would return for the service. It was clear that the staff was either untrained or overwhelmed, and that lack of attentiveness made the overall experience...
Read moreWhen we came to the restaurant we asked if they have physical menu, we were told to scan a bar code at the cashier. No one informed us how it works or asked if we have been to the cafe before. No one explained that the bar code we scanned is something we were supposed to place on our table to receive the order. It took me a while to make an online order which was really annoying and inconvenient and kills all the purpose of coming to the cafe - I would rather have home delivery then. I come for a human touch , atmosphere and service. After you do the online order No way in the world you want to tip anyone, cause you feel you actually deserve the payment now for the job you have done, instead of the waiter. Mocha coffee was great , but honestly a little overpriced. I did not like Cesar salad , it did not taste fresh at all. Cheese grilled sandwich was all right, good cheese, but again did not like the bread in it. At one point when we had a very intimate conversation with my friend entire management decided to stand right next to our table , talk loudly and give out some certificates to employees. Not giving us any personal space or even trying to apologize for the inconvenience . Honestly this is something that you are capable of doing off cafe working hours. Yes I would probably come back again, simply because cafe is conveniently located in the same tower where I have Pilates classes and I want to sit with a friend and chat. But it’s more cause we have no other choice. I am sure all above can be improved. So looking forward to some positive changes and eating at your...
Read moreUPD2 05.11.23: They finally responded to my email on Oct 30, it was a very vague response since they didn’t even take time to ask and figure out what kind of food we were consuming which lead to a disastrous consequences. Good management should eliminate bad ingredients from the kitchen based on the case immediately. I offered to provide further info via the email but never got any response. This is the perfect example of management malfunction and astonishing level of negligence that may have led to other peoples health issues. I have nothing mote to add. I would take down one more star but unfortunately one can not go below 1 star rating.
UPD 23.10.23: Both me and my girlfriend got very sick right after our last visit to the restaurant a couple weeks ago. We had to go to the ER with the fever. Apparently we got infested with tapeworms. Both of us are struggling with fever for two weeks so far. It is very unfortunate because I have been a returning customer for breakfasts for the last year. Since I received “considerate” looking reply from the management which suggested to contact them via email, I sent an email right after (around a week ago) but hasn’t received any response. This showcases that the place is heavily mismanaged. Considering all that I am degrading original 3 star rating to 1 which I think the place has earned.
21.10.23: Beautiful place, poor service. I kept giving this place a second chance but it’s gradually...
