Swiss Butter - Novotel Al Barsha — Restaurant in Dubai

Visited today late afternoon with my wife, carrying high expectations after a long, difficult day spent at the nearby Al Zahraa Hospital.

Our Order:

1 Large water 2 Tenderloin steaks with fries and salad 1 Extra portion of tenderloin

The steaks were cooked correctly—one medium-well and the other well-done—as requested. The fries and salad were fine.

However, the main issue was with what we expected to be the highlight of the meal: the sauce.

While the color and thickness were acceptable, the taste was overwhelmingly salty, with an intense anchovy aftertaste that overpowered everything.

Having tried similar dishes in restaurants both locally and internationally, I can honestly say this was the least enjoyable sauce I’ve encountered.

Perhaps it just wasn’t our day, or the sauce didn’t follow the restaurant’s original recipe.

When the host asked for feedback, I shared my genuine concern. The senior receptionist approached us shortly after, listened respectfully, and informed the chef.

I appreciated that gesture, and when I stepped up to pay, she kindly and sincerely apologized and informed us they would be waiving the bill due to the experience. Her honesty and professionalism stood out.

I was genuinely grateful and insisted on leaving a gratuity for the team.

Valet parking was smooth and professional. Host, waiter, receptionist, and server were all exceptional.

The five stars go to the lady at the reception, whose polite and considerate handling made all the difference.

Being a previous hotel manager myself, I know that service can turn around even a disappointing experience and this one will stay with me emotionally for that reason.

I won’t feel to visit again as the 1st experience will last , and the taste is definitely not mine, however thanks for the team , wishing...

Swiss Butter is originally from Lebanon, this restaurant is located in Novotel Hotel Al Barsha. Spacious & rustic interiors makes this place a cozy place to dine in with huge seating area & their flawless service. They have smoking and non-smoking area as well.

I was impressed with the ambience and the service. They are following all SOPs and they have placed partition between each table. The menu is very simple and is in the wall as a cardboard. You can choose between Steak, Beef, Chicken or Salmon and it is served with a divine buttery sauce, The concept of this sauce is from Switzerland, The gravy along with the steaks was succulent, made with around 36 herbs and butter, which is served with either of whole baked potato or french fries, a salad, brown bread or white bread.

We tried all the 3 dishes and trust me everything was delish.. Chicken and beef were really well cooked and absolutely finger licking.. The portion for the meal is apt as well for one person. Beef is from Columbia, it was medium well, Chicken they use is from brazil. The taste of salmon steak was also good but my favorite was BEEF😍 Perfection at its best!!

Their desserts were delicious!! We tried their molten cake and Pain Perdu.. its a must must try guys!!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and cozy. The decor and vibe made it the perfect spot to relax.

The food—absolutely delicious. The ribeye, filet, and salmon were cooked to perfection, with generous portions and bold flavors. Real, hearty food that’s truly value for money. We ended with a pain perdu for dessert, and it was amazing.

Service was just as impressive—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. My family and I had a fantastic time, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Lunch again at Swiss Butter :) Had yet another amazing experience at Swiss Butter! The food never disappoints—especially the Wagyu burger. Thick, juicy patty, that perfect sauce, the pickles and onions… it’s an absolute must-try. Every bite is packed with flavor! The other dishes were just as delicious, as always. I love the vibes, the setting, everything about it. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Dubai to enjoy a great meal with friends or family. I’ll be going back again and again!
