If you're looking for an authentic taste of Central Asia in the heart of Dubai, Uzbekistan Restaurant in Al Barsha is a must-visit! From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming staff make you feel right at home. The ambience is cozy and inviting, with subtle cultural touches that transport you straight to Uzbekistan.
The food is the star of the show here. Every dish is a delightful journey into authentic Uzbek cuisine. The plov (a traditional rice dish with meat and vegetables) is rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The manty (steamed dumplings) are tender and packed with savory goodness, while the shashlik (grilled skewers) are juicy and perfectly seasoned. Each bite feels like a celebration of Uzbek culinary heritage.
To complement the meal, I highly recommend trying their refreshing Azerbaijan cherry drink. It’s a unique, tangy-sweet beverage that pairs wonderfully with the hearty dishes and adds a refreshing twist to the dining experience.
And don’t skip dessert! The selection of traditional sweets is exceptional. The rich and nutty chak-chak (a honey-soaked pastry) is a delightful treat that leaves you craving more.
The restaurant’s ambience strikes a perfect balance between traditional and modern, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always ready to explain the dishes or offer recommendations.
Overall, Uzbekistan Restaurant is a gem in Al Barsha. Whether you're a fan of Central Asian cuisine or just looking to try something new, this place will not disappoint. Highly recommended for its authentic flavors, refreshing drinks, and warm...
Read moreWe ordered shurva soup, hanum, kotlety, beshbarmak, samsa (pumpkin and regular), Rocca and winter salads, Russian style herring, holodets, beef cheburek, and from desserts tvorojnik with souffle.
I liked almost everything, hanum was not the best for me though I enjoyed trying it for the first time. I liked that kotlety did not have much spices, close to the authentic taste. Vegetable samsa was yummy, salads and the soup too. Desserts were alright, souffle seemed from package, and tvorojnik a bit dry but was balanced well with the cream in the upper layer. Ambiance is the best in the Uzbek Avenue out of three Uzbek restaurants that we visited so far in Dubai, and staff is friendly as usual. Just lovely people from lovely culture. Still yet to explore their kebabs. Stay tuned for the update ✌
Update on the remaining menu that we meant to try before. This time we ordered puchvara, saj, manty, samsa (Tashkent and vegetable/pumpkin), cheburek, mashurda soup, fresh yogurt salad and vadiy salad. Everything was delicious as usual, but we do prefer Turkmen manty over Uzbek one, which we can't find here yet. Puchvara and vadiy salad were my favorite. As for saj, ribs cooked medium fyi, and still yummy. Also if you're a nardy fan, they provide that game for visitors to play. It was a good way to digest our foods with some green tea on the...
Read moreThe worst service I’ve experienced in years! I’ve been a regular customer here for over 4 years, but after my last visit — never again.
We came in the evening for dinner. Just after placing our order, the waiter told us the kitchen would be closing soon and asked if we wanted anything else. I said no. One minute later, he came back with the bill and insisted I pay immediately, even though the food hadn’t arrived yet! I paid 150 AED, thinking it was fine… but it wasn’t.
The food arrived 10 minutes later, and just as I started eating, the waiter told me: “We’re closing in 10 minutes.” Not even five minutes passed before another staff member came and said we needed to leave.
If they had warned me when I arrived or before taking my order, I would have gone to another restaurant or ordered takeaway. But they didn’t say a word. As a result: food on the table, barely any time to eat, mood ruined, and money wasted.
To make things worse, I overheard the staff complaining about me to each other, not even bothering to hide it. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
Bottom line: This place has completely lost its standards. It used to be good, now the service is awful. Absolutely not recommended! There are plenty of much better restaurants in Dubai with far superior food and...
