Overheard member of the team speaking to a customer ~ Pushing for a 5 star review with the words they used, talking the talk 🚩for me. We are allowed to be honest about our experiences. Although I chose to stay I wasn’t impressed by what I was hearing.

When my burger arrived the bun was twice the size of the burger & burnt, alongside this chips were salted prior to arriving ~ This should be the customers decision, not all people can tolerate salt. I asked for this to be taken back and the bun to be toasted and chips not salted. They were happy to oblige and the young man who served us was very apologetic although he’s not at fault. 2nd time around I was happy with the food. 5 for atmosphere as the chandelier and roof view...

They try to enforce a 10% service charge...before you've even had your food/drink!

I don't mind leaving a tip but I expect to taste the food and experience the service first...

We visited on a Sunday evening. The place was nice and the food was visually appealing. My trio of sliders, a special of the day, wasn't great, way too much hot sauce, the beef patties were very tough and the fries had too much seasoning. We ate here as we're staying at the hotel, The Palm Court Hotel. The food was really good. We had lunch before checking in and then we had breakfast the following morning as part of our hotel stay. The restaurant was very busy when we had lunch (Sat afternoon) and the order (two bowls of soup) took a long time to come, considering it was only soup, but the staff were continuously checking in with us and chasing the order.
