Disappointed. Family meal in Aberdeen Branch. Just popped in past to try and wouldn't waste yer money. Staff and waiter service very good probably because it wasn't busy. Ordered the pate to share which was very very poor. A dollop of cherry tomatoes and caramelised onions which was bland bland with toasted bread and a very poor tasting pate for 6.95.. three main courses.. Scolgio linguine, polio fungi and a bbq pizza for the little one. Poor Scolgio linguine.. Very poor Scolgio and lack of wine and garlic back bone stock along with the chilli flakes which disguised a very poor white wine sauce. Must of been 2 large prawns chopped up with poor sized mussels to laugh at. My partner ate half of the polio fungi and I tasted the sauce which tasted similar to a hollandaise sauce with plenty salt. The bbq pizza wasn't great either and was told by my step daughter I make a better homemade pizza ourselves. Best you do it yourself at home to be honest and thrown in a bottle or two. I don't mind paying any bill but for 1 poor starter and 3 dodgy mains and 1 round of drinks billed at 61.95.. Cmon folks.. Only praise to the waiter Paul and the manager on duty when I explained I only paid for what I thought it was worth which I still feel I overpaid... Not a stinge by any mains when it comes to paying for something that's good. Only gave 2 stars due to the waiter and manager being honest. As for the dining experiance.. I'm afraid I could show the so called kitchen staff a...

Tony macaroni was one of those places that was never recommend nor have I heard any proper reviews on the place apart from issues they have had in the past so I thought I'd go out of my comfort zone and try somewhere new. To start, we had the Mozzarella Fritta (moz sticks) and the Pate Della Casa (chicken liver pate). Both starters were lovely aside from struggling to actually swallow the moz sticks as the cheese was like glue and the cheese to breading ratio was completely off.

The mains, sadly didn't go down as well as the starters. Settling for the Trentina pizza and the BBQ Cipolla calzone. Starting with the pizza, the chef's need to release that rocket is a garnish and not a way to hide their dire looking food. Overly greasy and the same issue as the moz sticks, cheese sticking to the back of your throat like Spiderman's webs. Leaving us with a horrific sore stomach, and the constant feeling of wanting to be sick.

The calzone came out looking like a new born baby, all puffed up and ready to be popped. Once popped, it loses 90% of its size and revealing the thin layer of toppings on the inside. Very generic BBQ sauce like something you'd find in a poor kebab shop down some dodgy alley. To top it off, I asked twice if I was able to get a spicy mayo dip and did not receive any but was quick enough to add it to the bill.

Service wasn't too bad but think the damage had...

Came for lunch with family, we ordered our food and then patiently waited 35 minutes for our starters to arrive! It wasn’t overly busy at the time either

Starters were fried calamari, mozzarella sticks & a chicken salad - they were tasty but the chicken salad for £10 was pretty small.

Mains again took at least another 20 minutes to arrive. The toto pizza which had the tiniest amount of pepperoni and sausage on it. It was a large pizza but lacked toppings.

Chicken risotto was pretty bland and not creamy like it should be. The chicken thighs we requested with no chilli yet they came with chilli and were charred within an inch of their life. There was no sauce with them so we asked for some dips. Garlic Mayo wasnt nice at all and tasted like a cheap garlic runny sauce, although the sweet chilli sauce and the pesto was good.

Desserts arrived - sticky toffee pudding was dry, the tuttamella which is a traditional apple in Dili pastry dish was quite nice, but the cheesecake that came was not cheesecake at all. It tasted like a blamange and was so sickly, not to mention it was covered in strawberry ice cream sauce you give kids to put in their ice cream.

Bill came and they added on an ‘optional’ service charge which we asked for them to remove.

£130 and almost 3 hours later, we had finished lunch and all 4 of us agreed we would...

Having visited the Tony Macaroni in Belfast a few days previously (of our holiday), and being absolutely stunned at the quality of the food and service in there, we were thrilled to see there was one in Aberdeen so we headed there for dinner too! 😁 The quality of the food and service was exceptional, just like Belfast's restaurant, and everything was perfect from when we arrived to when we left. Our waiter was polite and cheerful, and seated us at a table quickly upon arriving, and then proceeded to take our drinks order and then our food order. Dishes were brought out relatively quickly, and both were delicious, and it's great knowing that the food is cooked fresh and to order! 😊 We opted to have dessert at a place just round the corner from here, but nonetheless our mains were amazing and we would certainly recommend a visit to here - or probably any Tony Macaroni restaurant - if you have chance! The menus are huge (literally) and you certainly won't be disappointed! 💯🇮🇹

My partner and myself have been to Toni Macaroni's in Aberdeen before and have enjoyed the food. However we went in for a quick lunch this time and the dining area was very cold. (Not sure if there was a fault with the heating). We both chose from the festive menu on offer. My partner ordered a coffee which had a piece of sachet paper at the bottom of the cup. I ordered the turkey with trimmings, which when arrived was very bland. The vegetables seemed like they were from a pack you put in the microwave, with only one potato and the whole thing was submerged in gravy that clearly hadn't even been mixed correctly. My partner's lasagne was all pasta with only the first layer having any meat in it. This is something we also heard other tables complaining about. We mentioned it to the server but we didn't have time to wait for something else to be prepared. It was a shame because we do like Toni Macaroni's.

We were out doing a bit of shopping in Aberdeen and fancied having something to eat before going home, being in the mood for pizza we decided on Tony Macaroni which is directly in the centre of Aberdeen. They offer a Sunday Presto menu which is one, two or three courses for a discounted price, great for taking all the family out. I had the pollo picante pizza and my girlfriend had the carbonara, the food all came out in no time but just lacked taste, it was cheap and cheerful but really did need a bit more flavour especially opting for a spicy pizza. Luckily all the staff are really friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean and tidy with plenty of seating.
