Avoid, avoid, avoid. Popped in here for a takeaway lunch a couple of months ago. It was incredibly busy and the staff were clearly completely overwhelmed and had lost track of many orders. There were lots of angry customers. We waited 45 minutes only to find that our order had been mistakenly deleted. We then waited while a manager made our order and even then, when we got to the car we found we were missing items. I swore we’d never go back. But today, more fool me, I let myself be persuaded by my kids. Staff were again overwhelmed, piles of food and stacks of drinks behind the counter going cold, nobody seeming to know what’s going on. Still, I thought it was unlikely to happen to us again. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Our order was deleted again (it’s starting to feel personal!) we waited 20 minutes before I spoke to a member of staff who didn’t check on my order at all, just told me they were very busy. Waited a further 20 minutes before asking to speak to a manager who took responsibility for our forgotten order and made it all herself. Read moreMultiple times now I have ordered McDonald’s breakfast online and every single time they wait for at least an hour and then cancel my order. This is simply unacceptable, fair enough not taking the order but don’t leave hungry paying customers waiting an hour to then just cancel on them. If you had a customer in store who made an order to then tell them an hour after waiting, sorry we can’t provide your order the story would be very different. A company should treat every customer with the same high level of respect and service no matter the avenue they’ve purchased by and McDonald’s do not. I have never had this problem with any other restaurant on any delivery service app, only Holmbush McDonald’s. Is it really that hard for staff to click a button saying they can’t provide an order? The minute I had finished ordering a families worth of food a random cheeseburger was thrust upon me! I explained that I had not ordered this cheeseburger to a member of the 400 staff at the counter and took my seat whilst I awaited the award winning table service on offer. After about 30 minutes of watching wrong order after wrong order going out I noticed my order being whisked away to another table! I promptly made my way to the table, who were explaining that they hadn't ordered the food to yet another member of the 400 staff and wrestled my food away.
