This is another small pub in Belper, though it may not technically qualify as a "micro pub", depending on one's definition. Truth be told, it doesn't hold a candle to either The Angels Micropub or The Belper Tap in terms of craft ale range or general atmosphere or competence of staff. Why IMHO does it not qualify as a micro? For starters, it offers Carling, the vilest of vile British lagers - no self-respecting micro would do that. If that sounds snobbish and elitist, so be it. ;) - Plus, the ale range is fairly limited and undistinguished in comparison. The atmosphere struck us as rather mundane and dull, too. Beer range is decent with regularly changing cask, they're on Real Ale Finder so worth checking out what they have on before visiting.
