Arcade Lounge — Restaurant in Arun

It’s not often I find myself writing an adverse review and it seems to be that this business which was doing so well has somewhat lost its way. I booked a table for four so that my husband and I celebrate albeit belatedly a dear friends 70th birthday. When booking I was told that it would be quiet evening. Well it was anything but. The food which was no more than adequate took over an hour and 1/4 to arrive. The owner was allowing customers children to walk and play on the bar area and you can’t even enter a supermarket improperly attired but several gentlemen customer were loudly swearing in a half naked state. It seemed to us that they seemed to be trying to satisfy the home delivery demand at the expense of those sitting in the restaurant and inevitably something had to give. The staff were polite but more eager to clear plates FROM tables than to put the food onto the table. Of most concern was the fact that he was employing a 15 year old young lady and allowing her to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, the reason we knew this was because our guests knew the person concerned. We were served by a pleasant and professional chap who went by the name of Saty, it seemed he was a one man army, he took and served drinks orders and cooked/served food orders despite the thirty plus degree heat in an unairconditioned restaurant, the food was well worth the money, I don't think it was all fresh but the main dishes we had (two burgers and two pizzas) were hand made on the premises, the rest of the order was 'finger food' (chicken wings, hummus, calamari, garlic mushrooms) the wait for food was about 20 minutes,

There were two errors to mention, We ordered refillable glasses but we were not asked what drinks we wanted, so Saty assumed and we didn't receive our preferred choice, we did enquire about this to find they didn't have it, however, in 30 degree heat we were not going to complain.

We ordered two 12" pizzas but only 9" were available, but the 9" pizzas were filling and tasty, better than pizza hut or even dominos.

When we paid the bill Saty apologised for the poor service! He either has low self esteem or worries to much, the customer service was on point and well executed, we left comfortably full and happy my hat...

I knew Arcade Lounge existed but had never thought about visiting until I saw a picture of the food on Facebook and we decided to try it out.

I messaged them through Instagram to find out what their quiet times were as we have a 6 week old baby and didn't want to take her into a busy, loud restaurant. The reply was super friendly and we booked a table for a Thursday at 4pm. On arrival the restaurant was nice and quiet and we were seated in the back.

Although the menu is limited to Burgers and Pizza it was easy to find something to eat, there was a fantastic little range of cocktails, the prices were reasonable.

We ate a pizza that was half cheesetastic and half farmhouse, a buttermilk and rosemary chicken burger with fries and a side of onion rings. The pizza was delicious and the burger was absolutely amazing, I could not fault it.
