I have always loved Thai food but my husband not so much. Anyway we went along with 2 of our friends who had never eaten Thai food. Our friends were bewillered at the huge choice. Anyway the staff were lovely and attentive and happy to help and suggest different options. I can't remember the names of the dishes but I had 5 massive prawns in there shells coated with nuts & delicate spices, John had a chicken dish, Miriam had a Thai sweet & sour pork dish & Simon 2 big sea bass fillets in a light delicious sauce, we had 4 different rices but could have easily had 2 or 3 as there was so much. Read moreHaven't been here in an age. Used to frequent often before covid. Always busy when we've been before. Compact restaurant, can get "loud" when busy. Staff are lovely & always remember my dad's name & seat us up near the bar area where there's only 2 tables. Good service. Food always been tasty. Portions just right, never usually any left to take home in a doggy bag. We went on a Sunday evening & there was a menu of eat all you can for £18 & pence per person. Never had this offered on previous visits, but like I said, not been in an age. Dad booked table old style by phone. Unsure if there's other ways....
Read moreJuly 2025. We ate in off the cuff on a quiet windy Tuesday night and just can't fault Bangkok Lounge..Food was fantastic, service was better. Free parking after 6pm about 15metres away. The end.... Been here 25yrs nearly now and it is only my personal opinion but as other restaurants and pubs mainly focus on money laundering, supermarket food passed off as theirs or 1,, yes just 1,, egg on toast for £15!!. (It's a venue, not a pub the staff said as the dog hairs folded themselves into my £15 gold plated egg,, sorry Cold plated waffle.) Bangkok Lounge stands out a quality mile..Fantastic fresh...
