I had the good fortune to come across Cafe Hygge early Saturday morning. I was Immediately welcomed by the staff upon entering and made to feel welcome. I had a pot of hot "proper tasting" tea.with a fantastic egg (2) and bacon sandwich. I also took away a cinnamon swirl which was great. The Hygge was immaculately clean, (including the toilet). For me though, the icing on the cake, was the impeccable service. The two young ladies front of house were polite, friendly and professional. They smiled and were comfortable holding conversation.    Read moreCafe Hygge is one of my all time favourite cafés. Delightfully welcoming and cosy, with good coffee and top notch cake game (Bakewell tart, lemon meringue, warm cinnamon swirls and the cheesiest of cheese scones) - it feels like a home from home.
Because of this it was an easy choice to make when I needed some food for a private event. And boy did Cafe Hygge do an excellent job. The pictured grazing platters were decadent and went down a storm with my guests. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough.
