Cafe Hygge is one of my all time favourite cafƩs. Delightfully welcoming and cosy, with good coffee and top notch cake game (Bakewell tart, lemon meringue, warm cinnamon swirls and the cheesiest of cheese scones) - it feels like a home from home. Because of this it was an easy choice to make when I needed some food for a private event. And boy did Cafe Hygge do an excellent job. The pictured grazing platters were decadent and went down a storm with my guests. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. Thanks Chef Janet for your amazing work.

A lovely little cafĆ©, warm and friendly with great food. I had a double egg and bacon roll which was absolutely fabulous, fully flavoured bacon and two eggs so you don’t have to have one side dry. I had a flat white which was a bit too milky for me, but they do a Cortado which packs a bit more punch although for me it could do with even more punch on the coffee aspect. Definitely recommend on will come again. Oh, and most importantly, they are very dog friendly and offer puppucinos, whipped cream with a dog biscuit for your pooch. šŸ˜€šŸ˜€šŸ˜€

Passing through Long Melford and managed to find a disabled parking space near by. Access into the cafe isn’t negotiable for a wheelchair user (like myself) but fortunately the side courtyard area was accessible with care. (Cobblestone area about 2 metres). Once inside the courtyard it was all level. A very helpful warm welcome and my order was brought to my table. I would recommend this cafe for other people with accessibility difficulties as it’s negotiable with care.

I had the good fortune to come across Cafe Hygge early Saturday morning. I was Immediately welcomed by the staff upon entering and made to feel welcome. I had a pot of hot "proper tasting" tea.with a fantastic egg (2) and bacon sandwich. I also took away a cinnamon swirl which was great. The Hygge was immaculately clean, (including the toilet). For me though, the icing on the cake, was the impeccable service. The two young ladies front of house were polite, friendly and professional. They smiled and were comfortable holding conversation. (sadly, hard to come by these days)The cook that brought the great looking food out was lovely too. These ladies are an absolute credit to themselves and the owners of Cafe Hygge. You may think I have a vested interest to write such a gushing review, but no, I've only visited Cafe Hygge once and was this ...

Young ladies at the till, absolutely no qualms, polite, friendly, brilliant at their job. My breakfast sandwich, bacon and egg, perfect … Two things that need attention, the avocado on toast my partner had, well, half bread, half toast, a new toaster is in order, but I’m not sure what I enjoyed more, the plate thrown on the table from the ā€œchefā€, or the fact that you have to build your own dry avocado on bread/toast with 2 grams of butter. Times are hard I know, but people skills are free, and Kerry gold is Ā£2.65 for 250g,...
