Disgusting behaviour by owner. No need to go into detail just a shame the owner obviously has a alcohol problem in all honesty I hope he realises there is plenty of support groups out there that could really help him not put his family through this embarrassment again. As horrible as it sounds without him every one else is really nice. Lydias was always my favourite place to eat have been many times never imagined having to write a bad review ever. Here's hoping he gets the help needed. I won't take his abusive personality and nastiness to heart because drink always brings out the worst in people. Wishing him all the luck conquering his addiction.

The whole situation could have been resolved very reasonably considering the one persons who meal caused an issue had left had you been sober maybe you would have acted differently and not so nastily to the rest of the party who did nothing but pay the full amount. I have been many times and you've always been happy to split the bill but out of spite you decided to be awkward, the tall guy actually said he would pay it all an you said you didn't want his money to which he replied ok I'll just go then which is when you said you'll call the police. It was very dramatic. Unfortunately drinking can cause issues with your heart having a bypass maybe you should consider reaching out for some help. The stench of alcohol from you suggests you may need to. All the best. The tall guy has never had a fight in his life he also was standing there with his small child so he most definitely wouldn't want a fight in front of his child sadly seems you were intimidated by the fact he was tall so do not recommend people who are tall to visit. Appalling manager/owner.

We booked ahead for table of 16 for a birthday. There was an issue with one meal where the meat was all burnt .member of our party was really polite about an issue with their meal. Immediately the owner was very agressive and said that there was nothing wrong with it. We tried to politely point out what the issue was so that it could be resolved amicably but he continued to be agressive and shouted at the member of party to never come back again and that there wasnt anything wrong with it. Unfortunately his behaviour continued to be agressive so the rest of us tried to eat our meals as quickly as possible leaving half of it as we felt so uncomfortable and were unable to enjoy ourselves .we went downstairs to pay , again he had issues with this ! It probably didn't help that he was drunk as we could smell straight away. The food has really gone downhill since we last went 6 months or so ago. Just to add the wife of the owner was amazing and felt so embarrassed bless her as well as all the other staff were really apologetic and the wife apologised for his behaviour on us leaving.

Edit:: why have you deleted your last comment and re wrote it. You really are a nasty piece of work aren't you. Take responsibility for your actions!!! You had one meal we complained about out of 16 people !! If food is not right it Is OUR RIGHT to bring this to your attention. Customers are always right incase you didn't know that saying!! We were met by a warm welcome and had drinks before being shown to our table. Our friends then arrived but we had to wait a long time for drinks. In fact we had to ask after waiting so long to be offered. Our starters came out fairly quickly and were not too bad. But I have to say in all my dining experience the food is very over priced for what you get and the quality of it. The table was filling up with empty glasses and we had to ask for it to be cleared, for which the waiter came back with a bottle of sprite, so mis communication somewhere. The mains were ok, my friend had the lamb shish and had an entire chunk of fat as one of the portions on his plate. When he complained after he was brought out a small piece of lamb on a plate to replace the fatty piece. The drinks are very expensive and only 50ml shots of spirits are offered on the menu. I had baclava for desert and had high hopes, but unfortunately I was disappointed, no where near enough sugar syrup and no pistachio sprinkled on the top. I have to say I've had better baclava at a all inclusive hotel in Turkey.

When the bill arrived the service charge was already on there, which is fair enough for a table of 8 but with the waiting on drinks, the fatty lamb and the poor baclava, we were not willing to pay the £33 that it was. So reduced it to what we wanted to pay.
