After getting engaged last year, I was feeling a little disheartened that we wouldn't be able to afford our 'perfect' day. Until we met Tracy and her fab team...💗

My mum and I had High Tea at Painters for the first time in January, and we were totally blown away by the food, service and value for money! We spent that evening drooling over their catering menu, and a few weeks later, we contacted Tracy and booked our special day.

Just 6 months later, we celebrated our wedding and had the most perfect day. Painters were able to cater for our every need; we hired the venue for the afternoon/ evening, which included arrival drinks, High Tea with our immediate loved ones and an evening buffet/ party with our extended guests.

The attention to detail, yummy food, service and relaxed atmosphere was spot on, and everyone throughly enjoyed themselves. The pub itself is so quirky and lovely, and the garden... well Tracy told us they were going to decorate it nicely for the summer, and she did not disappoint!! It was beautiful!!! 🤩

Thank you all so much for all the hard work and efforts that went into making our day everything we could've wished for. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking to have a wedding or special occasion...

Absolutely fantastic experience with Painters at the Angel where Tracey, Alan and the whole crew managed to help us have the most perfect wedding! From the beginning, Tracy was incredibly helpful and supported us in putting together a fantastic day. We started with a delicious brunch with our guests which included a selection of bacon and sausage sandwiches followed by some mini quiches. When the rest of our party came, we had drinks on arrival where the team were very attentive and caring towards our guests. Finally, the most talked about aspect of our wedding, the grazing table! I cannot explain how beautiful and mouth watering this table looked. The food was fresh, locally sourced and very, very tasty! Tracy, Alan and the whole team went above and beyond with us, often checking in on us to make sure as the bride and groom we had a chance to sit down, have a drink and something to eat. Not only were the team very caring of us, but also of our guest. Painters at the Angel holds a special place in our hearts and we are so grateful for all the work everyone put in to make our...

This was my first visit to this established cafe. Staff were welcoming and the premises were clean and tidy. Prices were reasonable, I paid £6.10 for my cream tea. The scone was light and tasty although it was so crumbly that it fell apart when I buttered it. So I had to paste the cream and jam onto the fragments causing more disintegration and then pick the resultant crumbs up with my fingers. I was tempted to ask for a spoon as it would have been easier. As you can see from the picture I didn't get a lot of jam to play with. A little more would've been nice. I did get various pieces of fruit with it which was a nicer touch than the usual solitary strawberry you get with most cream teas. My companions all had cakes which were tasty but a little too small. However, they were not expensive so I guess it's swings and roundabouts. The cost of our repast was under £20 for the four of us which was impressive. I have seen similar portions in other establishments costing far, far more so kudos to Painters for being an...
