Called in for a beer on a scorching hot day. Was told that they only sell alcohol with a main meal. That was ok so I ordered the Steak and mushroom sandwich while the Wife chose the Tuna jacket potato And two bottles of Moretti. Paid at the bar and sat down. Service was prompt and the food was spot on. However when I checked my bill I realised that we had been charged £14 for the two beers. As they were only 330 ml bottles I feel that is extortionate. The food was fairly priced though and the setting is lovely. Another negative is that they do not have a toilet or washroom , which I thought was a legal requirement in an eating establishment. I could be wrong as there maybe different laws in Wales. We were told to use the public toilets over the road next to the harbour which had a long queue for the Ladies. Not ideal so would not return for...

I've been visiting Davy Jones Locker since childhood back in the mid 60's. Much of the original decor has disappeared over the years unfortunately....ie fishing and maritime artifacts which i was fascinated by as a kid. Staff have changed too of course but still give the courteous service one wishes for. The manager even took time to dig-out a photo album for me showing much of how i remember the place way back when. Quality of food is still excellent and food hygiene practices were impeccable. Prices....not the cheapest but not unreasonable. OK so the place has a nostalgic attraction for me and I'd like to see more maritime artifacts in the decor; however, putting that aside, this is still a place i recommend highly. It says a great deal that people such as myself keep coming back for more and for over 40 years.....and this place is still...

I came in here for breakfast as it looked a great cafe and it was, plenty of seating inside and out right next to the water which made the location absolutely fantastic.i ordered a breakfast and coffee which cost £14.95 which I thought was a bit expensive but it is in a tourist destination so I think you've got to expect that. The breakfast was good but again like a breakfast had yesterday the sausages were awful. Absolutely the cheapest rubbish sausages you could get and paying that price you'd expect the best quality ingredients. The rest of the breakfast was absolutely fine and I really enjoyed it.Just buy some decent sausages and it would have been great. The staff were fantastic and I couldn't rate them high enough.I'd definitely come back here as the cafe is excellent as is the location but I'll have lunch next time instead...

Stopped here for a meal when we went to Barmouth for the day. Lovely place. A bit small and dark inside but nice tables and view outside which was where we sat as we had the dog. Lovely choice of food and big portions! Bottles beer and cider available too. Bowls of water available for the dogs and regularly filled up. It was busy when we went but that just goes to show how popular it is. If I ever returned to Barmouth for a day out, I would definitely go to Davy Jones Locker for food again. Thanks all.

Sadly barely mediocre all round. An eating place in a prime position but in need of much t.l.c. No toilet facilities!! Public toilets across the road! Really? Overcooked chips, undercooked fish in a thick batter coating. If you want any condiments - get your own from inside the pub!!!??!! So you have to leave your food on the table if you want anything! Hence no tip left. Beef burger was quite good and the only reason 3 stars given.
