How to ruin a fish restaurant! Atmosphere was dead, didn’t really want to talk. The waitress didn’t come back to check if our food was ok, when it was shocking. Over cooked the monkfish, to the point the skin had twisted into it. Everything was tasteless bland & watery boiled. Who serves frozen tasteless cardboard tasting fries, with Monkfish, takes nothing to chop a few potatoes & fry. The new potatoes were peeled normal boiled potatoes. Unfortunately the food wasn't as welcoming to the taste buds. I found the monk fish overcooked and lacking in flavour. The chilli mayonnaise dip tasted as though it had had a slight drop of tomato sauce, but not a seasoning in sight.
I feel harsh writing such a poor review about the food but unfortunately it really didn't meet the standard I would expect of a seaside restaurant serving seafood.
