Based on the time it took to be seated, time it took to be served. Poor quality on breaded coating on the plaice. When I asked the staff whether the breaded batter was prepared by the chief, the reply was no, the breaded batter was not made fresh. I can only describe the breaded batter as overly thick and very dry. When I mentioned this to the staff, no reduction was offered even though the price was premium. I hope this review will be taken seriously by the owner and not repeated in the future.

Lovely restaurant close to the harbour. Food was great (fresh fish and veg) and service was very good. Reasonable price for a bottle of wine. A bit of subtle background music was the only thing missing. Would recommend and would definitely go again.

How to ruin a fish restaurant! Atmosphere was dead, didn’t really want to talk. The waitress didn’t come back to check if our food was ok, when it was shocking. Over cooked the monkfish, to the point the skin had twisted into it. Everything was tasteless bland & watery boiled. Who serves frozen tasteless cardboard tasting fries, with Monkfish, takes nothing to chop a few potatoes & fry. The new potatoes were peeled normal boiled potatoes. It was all going well with the starter the Whitebait was lovely. Absolutely gutted wanted to try this place for ages too. Nothing beats the Lobster Pot & Bank for food. This place was...

We went to this restaurant hoping for real home cooked food....we thought it looked like an outstanding place. But we were very disappointed.. They had no crab or lobster... We had monkfish and veg chips and new patatos.. Vegetables were frozen not fresh and my fiancee thought he was getting whole monkfish but came out as little bite size portion.. We looked in kitchen as we were going and it was like microwave city.. No ovens.. Very disappointed... When you come away to seaside you at least expect... Quality homemade food and most definitely fresh. The only thing I could say is that the young staff were...

Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The decor was quaint, warm and welcoming.

Unfortunately the food wasn't as welcoming to the taste buds. I found the monk fish overcooked and lacking in flavour. The chilli mayonnaise dip tasted as though it had had a slight drop of tomato sauce, but not a seasoning in sight.

I feel harsh writing such a poor review about the food but unfortunately it really didn't meet the standard I would expect of a seaside restaurant serving seafood.

It seemed that the food was catered towards and older clientele and would not recommend it for...
