We called here on our way back from Barnsley after reading great reviews and we certainly weren't disappointed. I ordered two large breakfasts and was advised that the medium would suffice and they were definitely right. Firstly they brought out two large mugs of tea and a plate with three rounds of toast and some biscuits and shortly afterwards they brought our breakfast which comprised of four rashers of bacon, four sausages, egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and fried bread! Fantastic value, friendly staff and would...

A great discovery at the start of a walk from Penistone. A huge teacake packed with masses of bacon & large mug of coffee had only one downside - I ended up carrying my lunch for 8 miles as never felt hungry after this super-fuelled start. You are not paying for the view, location, fancy decor or pretension on a plate but for good honest freshly cooked food. Even got a free hobnob & choccie digestive with the coffee. Clean toilets, hand sanitizer available, well spaced tables,...

Stopped off the transpennine trail when cycling bought a coffee. Cheap and sufficient coffee. Ate a bag of crisps (was too late for breakfast and too early for lunch for me) gentleman was eating a fried breakfast which looked amazing. Wanted to fill my cycling drinks bottle. They didn't sell any juice or such I wanted but the lady filled my bottle for me with water which was really appreciated 👍

Rode over from Manchester today (Sep 9th) just to get the bacon and egg barm, a cup of tea, two hobnobs and a double-decker choccie bar for under a fiver. Eaten at a table in the sun chatting to another cyclist (socially distanced of course). What more could you want? Wil ride this way again soon I hope.

Ordered a bacon and sausage bap and chips. The bap was huge and very tasty. I couldn't finish the chips, they were excellent but too much. The tea came with three free biscuits! Great value.
