The Bake House — Restaurant in Barnsley

Ordered months ago and received a mouldy breadcake so haven’t ordered for ages. Ordered today on Deliveroo: Large Breakfast, Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, Old School Cake one with custard, one without. Called them and asked the bacon and sausage in breakfast to be changed to spam and tomatoes. Received our order, the whole bag was soaked in custard, it went all over. The breakfast had 2 bits of spam, no tomatoes at all. Hash browns were soggy. Beans and mushrooms tasted like plastic. Eggs were very overdone, not yolky at all. Went in bin. Roast beef sandwich was extremely bland, tasted like nothing. The old school sponge wasn’t old school sponge, it had jam in it? Custard all over the bag and other items and cold. Was a waste of £20. very very Rude no concept of customer service , i work in hospitality it was my first time going to bake house with my little boy i asked if they did a cheese and onion pastie and a woman who was not even serving me shouted that’s Greggs not us in a very rude manner ,both me and my little boy felt uncomfortable surely there’s other places do cheese and onion pasties besides greggs 😂, so i replied sorry i didn’t know ive not been in before and got no apology for the rude behaviour. on the order i did get the bacon sandwich was really dry and bacon hard my son didn’t eat it .i will never return again i work in hospitality and pride myself on customer service the way a place treats people is key kindness...

Ordered a Yorkshire pudding wrap and a pepperoni pizza, went in shop to order. Said it would be 15 minutes wait, returned after 15 minutes and said it would be another 5-10 minutes wait and offered to deliver it home, which we agreed to.

Went home and it didn't arrive for another 35 minutes, so took around 50-60 minutes in total.

Yorkshire pudding wrap was good, however the pizza was not nice. It had the characteristics of a cheap supermarket mozarrela pizza that they've added pepperoni and extra cheese onto.

Wouldn't order...
