Lucky Star Food House — Restaurant in Basildon

I just have reviewed this place 4 years ago, we have been using it we been loving this place but today I have to change it to 1. I was so shocked when I received worst comments from the lady who took my order. I was at the restaurant ordered my food as usual the way I have been doing normally, and I gave her normal instructions she just nooded and yeah yeah. When I received my order it was completed wrong. First she got me wrong tofu dish. Even then I said sorry about the confusion. She didn't like it and went inside sounded bit aggressive and I called her again for my fried rice it has egg inside even though I clearly mentioned when I placed an order. She got very angry told me I should learn how to order, swearing at me. I was so shocked I simply said just refund me I will don't want my food from here and I will leave. She said no the chef is making it. Again very aggressive told me are you gonna teach me how to do my job, even she asked me shut up even though I wasn't even saying anything. And ask me to get out and don't come there again.she was showing me menu that was hilarious and told me this is the dish name learn to order and even I said about my dietry requirements she said this restaurant is not for your dietary requirements 😔

I was completely speechless and shocked about her behaviour. I have been ordering from them for last four years no problems.

Does she really expect me to go there again after the way she spoken to me. I feel bad for her tbh.

Even the delivery man said she is like this don't worry 😔.

The food I received wasn't good at all....

I placed my order via Uber eats at about 7.30 Friday the 22nd. Wasn’t a massive order. I was given an eta 1955-2015, by 2030 the order hadn’t arrived so I requested an update via Uber app. I never received one so called the restaurant. Was answered by an extremely rude woman. I asked where my late order was and she just said not ready wait an hour. Then she hung up on me. I waited till 2045, 30 mins after the latest eta given. I called again and got the same woman who called me darling and told me it was coming and hung up again. It finally arrived at 2100. The order was complete but was not worth the wait. The chips were dried up and hard, the curry sauce was in fact runny oil that slightly resembled a curry taste. We never ate either. The fried rice and chow mein was ok. However the chicken in black bean sauce was gross and was also left. Chicken Chinese style was just edible. In all would NEVER order here again the food has to be the worst Chinese I’ve...

Absolutely diabolical. Ordered from justeat. Food arrived after 1.5 hours. Stone cold. Chicken was DISGUSTING. My husband spat it out. I tried to eat around it. Tried a bit of each dish. Ended up throwing it up. Called the place coz I didn’t wanna just go online and slate them, without at least giving them the opportunity to explain and refund me. No ONLY did they refuse to refund me telling me I was being UNREASONABLE. The guy also said “we get thousands of bad reviews. Everyone just wants free food. Just go leave a review”. Well. My gob has been smacked. 😂 AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. After hanging up on him I then did a little digging and saw they have a bloody 2 star hygiene!!!! Absolutely disgusted.
