One of the few remaining genuine 'locals' left in Basingstoke - a town that has seen wholesale destruction of much of its characterful pubs. The Bounty Inn is an 18th-century hostelry with three separate bars, situated on the boundary of what was until recently a County Cricket ground. The freehold is owned by Basingstoke & Deane council and is currently leased to Punch Taverns.
The Bounty Inn is a stone's throw from All Saints Church at the southern end of the town and is often used by wedding or funeral groups. Usually three cask ales are available. A lovely south-facing garden is a delight in the spring and summer.

Read moreLived local to this lovely pub for several years, used regularly, under various landlords. However my wife and i visited on the evening of Friday 26/7/19 at about 7pm. How unwelcome we felt, three staff behind the bar, and not busy at all. Not one of the staff acknowledged our arrival. We waited our turn to be served only to find one had disappeared, one was on her phone and the other was chatting. This is not the biggest pub in the world, but they chose to ignore us.
