An independent family run, open craft artisan bakery in Bath! Everything is freshly baked daily in full view of customers. Mixed, shaped and baked there! They are a family business, started trading on 12th of May 2021! While they are a new bakery, they have a long history of baking before they moved to the UK. Basil used to have 2 bakeries in Greece, Thessaloniki, where they are from, and moved to UK 9 years ago.

Everything is freshly baked daily in full view of customers. High quality and healthy ingredients are the foundation of their business with an exciting range of handcrafted baked goods, artisan breads which will draw upon their Mediterranean and English experience. A key part of their bakery is the aroma of freshly baked bread as you enter the premises. Mixed, moulded and baked there. Their breads are all made from scratch with local flour and a lot of love! They have a variety of breads, sourdough, ciabatta, baguettes, white tins, harvester, wholemeal and our popular Olive bread and Greek brioche! Their friendly team will always do their best...

I visit the bakery 3 times a week when I am working at my office just down the road. The bakery is very popular due to the variety of freshly made breads and wraps and the great selection of fillings. Lunch times can be quite busy but you wouldn't be waiting longer than 20 minutes at the most busiest times plus an additional 5 mins if you order a made to order sandwich. They have a great selection of ready made pastries, crisps, soft drinks, coffees and juices. The staff are lovely and it really is the highlight of my day when I work in the office. Thank you...

We drove 18km to get there as we were told that the food is amazing. We had some mouth watering spinach & feta pasty with deep feeling, lovely cheese pasty and a perfectly cooked ciabatta bread. We also had an amazing olive bun and a puffy bun/bagel with sesame, both were delicious. We also got baklava and a chocolate & orange bun soo yummy. We will definitely get there again to try bougatsa, the sourdough breads and get more goodies for the week! Good prices too....
