Went to Cafe Melrose for tea and a wee bun on Sunday morning. Cafe was very busy but staff were lovely, polite and good humoured. The breakfasts I could see going to other tables looked generous and well presented. My little pot of tea wasn't filled to the top so I only got a tea cup and a bit out of it. Cute little milk jugs though! My fifteen was not soft but more biscuity, still sweet and satisfying. The table had jammy bits on it, but it was a very busy morning service. They do evening meals too and it's a bring-your-own, so a nice addition to the Lisburn Road. Best of luck to Cafe Melrose!

Decided to pop in for breakfast today, first time visiting this cafe. My latte was lovely and well presented. I ordered poached egg on toast, this was presented very smartly as you can see from my photos, my only observation was that the toast could have been toasted for a little longer as it was soft in the middle and I had to ask for extra butter as one was not enouth. Staff were very friendly and polite. I enjoyed my visit and wouid recommended this cafe and will certainly return.

Nice clean café on the Lisburn Rd in Belfast. Very friendly staff and service with pleasant manners and attention to questions. Good selection of sandwiches and snacks with drinks like tea and coffee to match. I had the egg benedict which was really tasty as seen in my photo. Take away service also available. Pop in you won't be disappointed

Hi Called into the cage for a quick brunch today. Service was quick and efficient. The food was quite disappointing. Omelettes and scrambled eggs were very overcooked to the point they were totally dry. Another customer came into the shop with a small dog which attracted the attention of the waitresses behind the counter who were straight over to pet and feed the dog. I watched as neither waitress washed their hands before returning to the counter to pour fresh coffees etc
I couldn’t believe it! Just glad we had already received our food before this...
