We visited the Mad Hatter Cafe on Sunday morning 8th Sept 2024, it was fairly busy with alot of single people taking up seats of 4...we waited patiently for a table and was shown to a table of 4 even though there was only the 2 of us. Our order was taken although from the short wait we had, we could already see the staff were very disorganised, getting basic drinks orders mixed up and spilling milk over the floor. When it came to taking the order, the lady couldn't even find a pen that worked and flaffed about looking for a pen. We ordered Hatters Breakfast and a Pancake Breakfast and 2 milky coffees, the coffees were served first...they were luke warm... while we were waiting, 2 ladies came in, they were asked to sit at a table of 2 but they refused and took up a table of 4, they sat very close to us...while we sat waiting, a large group of 8 came in, WE were asked to move tables to accommodate this group! 40 minutes later we got our food, cold and greasy! Disappointed...we will not be back! Didn't even apologise for having to move tables...when i mentioned it when paying the bill, i was told, well you...

Sorry I have no photos I never thought. Anyhow this was a lovely restaurant with a great menu. The staff were lovely and they knew their regulars and what they usually ordered. I got the large fry and it was brilliant. There were sausages, bacon, bake beans, mushrooms, potato bread, tomato and other breads. It was a good big feed. I can't remember how many, I think 2 sausages and 2 slices of bacon. You also got tea or coffee or I'm sure another drink instead. They are open just before 8am. They are 2 parts to this restaurant, one side is the one I have spoken on and the other side makes sandwiches etc. Prices seemed reasonable and I enjoyed...

Have been here many times and always enjoyed the food, but on Thursday the 5th July 2018 I went in for a late breakfast, poached eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomato and tea and toast. First it is now waitress service only and took ages to even get served. Waited waited and waited some more breakfast was served, poached eggs looked liked two under fried eggs I sent them back and was assured they where poached eggs and got the same again hard yolk and rubber white. I got a quarter of a tomato and by this time my tea and everything else was...

Called at the Mad Hatter but it is in the process of being revamped, and it looks really class. Am really looking forward to it reopening. Ahhhh, it’s now opened and I had to treat myself to a “Hatter fry”. It’s was fresh tasty, plenty, delicious and no grease on the plate. First class. The staff were very pleasant and the place spotlessly clean as were the toilets. Would highly recommend.

Another plucked out of thin air pick. Was absolutely stellar, lovely atmosphere, a proper cafe feel to it. Happy and friendly staff, constant flow of customers and the food was exquisite. Had a varied selection, the full fry, vegetarian and pancakes, all faultless and very much enjoyed

A group of us came here for breakfast last Saturday. Place was really nice and the staff were quick and friendly. Food was delicious. I had the Hatter breakfast and I tried some of the pancakes too. Two of us grabbed coffee to go the following morning. Would happily come back here again.
