Other than the location/setting, there’s not much to recommend about this place sadly. The menu is very basic, standard pub food and they seem rather behind the times when it comes to offering more variety for vegetarians/vegans (other than falafel!) so if you’re looking for decent non-meat dishes then I suggest you look elsewhere. The food we did order however was nice, well cooked and presented. However it was actually the service that was pretty shoddy! We were left standing at the front of the establishment for over 10mins for no clear reason. The staff ignored us for a long time and it was only when one of our party walked towards the bar that a staff member bothered to acknowledge us and rather abruptly told us to stand where we were. We were told by one of the staff that he ‘had a lot of tables to see to’ and he would come to us when he could. This puzzled us because there were lots of tables free that we could have sat at (and we had a baby in a pram). It just seemed like the staff looked upon their guests as a bit of a burden. Eventually we were seated inside and given the menu. Despite the fact we had a baby we weren’t offered a high chair which was slightly odd. The food arrived quickly and we ate. Annoyingly the door to the terrace was left open so we were utterly freezing and it wasn’t particularly pleasant experience. We asked for the pudding menu (only 3 options?) but no one ever came to ask us if we’d like anything from it. We decided it was time to go and despite there looking like there were a decent amount of staff around, just getting someone’s attention for the bill was an impossibly task because they just didn’t seem to be bothered. I eventually had to stand up and stare at the staff (because surely we would be shouted at if we walked towards the bar!) in order to get their attention. I do have to say the guy that took our payment card seemed pleasant and chatty but it was all too little too late. Certainly wouldn’t recommend and won’t...

Having been here multiple times, it’s safe to say that when it gets busy the staff cannot cope.

We managed to get the only available booth, we then proceeded to order drinks, only to be told there was no Aperol left for a spritz, not a great start but some things can’t be helped.

After looking at the menu for about 10 minutes we ordered 2 x dirty fries and 1 x portion of onion rings @ 19:36, we waited and after several failed attempts to get the attention of the staff my partner managed to a staff members attention.

After informing them that we had waited 45 minutes for food (actually 55 by this point) the assumed supervisor went into the kitchen and swiftly returned telling us that she was sorry to inform us that our order had not been put through to the kitchen.

A bit of a nightmare, but to be fair to the staff member, she offered complimentary drinks if we wanted to wait, but having waited the guts of an hour with one drink each and no staff checking in we declined.

The staff did there best to limit the damage done but I think it’s poor service all around they were not busy with food in the 70 minutes we were in there we saw 5 plates leave the kitchen.

And having worked in the industry for 15 years I could not imagine any scenario where a table not drinking and not eating could sit for 50+ minutes without a staff member coming over...

Upon arrival we were greeted by a bouncer who offered us a table inside. With it being a lovely evening we opted to wait for an outdoor table, which became available a short time after. Trying our best to be as polite as possible we asked to occupy a table close to the river with nicer views, but unfortunately the 30 second job of re-sanitising a table was too much. The biggest shock came when I was asked to pay for my food and drinks before they arrived, what added insult to injury was the quality was so poor that I would have sent it back if I hadn’t already paid and wanted to get out.

I found it interesting that others appeared to be paying after their meal, and therefore have to question wether or not I was treated differently because me and my family were visiting from outside the country, only they will know.

Yes, the views are nice here, but it is let down in all departments, from hospitality through to the quality of the food. Just do not go here, so surprising when I compare how this place is ran compared to it’s sister venue The Chelsea. I shall never be back and will make sure that everyone I know...

The only bar in Belfast to sit on the River Lagan, with lots of outdoor seating A great list of wine and beers to go with your food or not, they also have a small list of alcohol free drinks. They have a place out the back for private party's as well. There's a restaurant upstairs that is closed at the moment. Also, the bar is closed Monday and Tuesday at the moment and closing time are different, so I would call them to check closing times.

Out for my birthday dinner tonight at Cutters. Great evening, service was fantastic, food was amazing, starters of the brisket tacos and garlic bread for sharing, followed by the chicken stack which I had myself. From the specials menu we ordered the Lamb tagine which was flavoursome and very filling so unfortunately didn't do dessert so we opted for cocktails! the Bramble....was amazing as was the cherry margarita on the rocks!

A piece of Belfast’s history! Lovely and quiet on a Friday lunchtime with people just chilling by the river. How the other half live! It was a bit of a limited menu but the prawn starter and the cod were lovely all the same. Great pint of Guinness. Service was really good and staff were friendly and chatty. Good seating, toilets clean and fresh. Really enjoyed it.
