They sell out-of-date food.

The products in the fridge showed “used by 25/11/2021” but it was 28/11/2021.

I asked one staff member why they displayed out-of-date products & was told to talk to the cashier.

After a long wait, I finally spoke to the cashier, with two out-of-date products on hand. I told him these were out-of-date. He then asked “so you don’t want them?” — how funny 🤣 ??? Asked customers whether they wanted to pay for out-of-date food. The cashier put the two products behind him and said “that’s fine”. I paid my purchase and left.

When I left the store, there were still several out-of-date products available in the fridge. No one cared they were there.

I don’t interpret this as evil — this was just purely incompetence.

May visit this store again in the future because people generally have to tolerate this kind of incompetence.

Credit has to be given where credit is due. This Centra stayed open throughout the pandemic, and remains open. It was and remains a great help. The staff were great before the pandemic and have remained great throughout it. It had and has a good range of products and it adapted well to the demands of the pandemic. Care of the coffee station could be improved though, for example, it could be ready to serve coffee from 6 am (when the shop opens), with sufficient milk, lids, paper napkins in place. Then it'll get five stars. But it was a stalwart of the pandemic and remains so.

Have bought hot food here regularly at the hot food counter but will never go back. I ordered food off the young guy there and was having a bit of banter with him about putting more rice on but he didn't take it well and told me to get out. I even asked the customer beside me was I rude and he said no he thought it was just friendly banter. I asked to see the manager and she came out and defended him saying people "slabber" at him all day inferring that I was slabbering at him.
