Pavilion Bar — Restaurant in Belfast

I bought a drink about 15 minutes before last orders at the downstairs bar. It is only reasonable that anyone buying a drink before last orders would be given time to finish their drink in comfort. Unfortunately the security staff opened the front door and side door at 1pm (Last orders time) resulting in the bar becoming very cold. Due to the cold it became very uncomfortable.The bar become very cold and the customers were not given time to finish there drinks in comfort.It is only reasonable that anyone buying a drink just before last orders would be given the courtesy to finish their drink in comfort. I think it is reasonable for the bar to offer the customers drinking up time to 1.30pm. The security staff told me that is the bar policy to open the doors at 1pm.Therefore, this was the instructions of the owners/management. In my view, this was to freeze the customers out of the bar in order to force the them to leave.There is no signage or notice explaining to the customers that the doors would be open at 1pm.It is only reasonable that if I am serviced a drink before closing time (1pm) that I am allowed to drink it in comfort. I think a drinking up time to 1.30pm would be reasonable. I objected to this and the security staff became very aggressive in my view.This aggression I am told happens often. Held a surprise 30th here at the weekend for my wife. It was fantastic! Michael was great ar communicating with me & was able to find me a DJ for the venue and kept me in the loop with everything so thank you! Caitlin was fantastic at sorting out my slideshow on the memory pen for me. She had stated that something had gone wrong but actually went out of her own way to transfer the photos so they would work and it was massively appreciated as the birthday girl loved seeing the photos of loved ones who couldn’t attend or where no longer with us so it was a lovely touch - thanks so much Caitlin. The food was beautiful in the buffet, great portion sizes and nice and hot etc! They were also able to accommodate our guests who had allergies and supplied a great vegan spread for family and friends who were vegan! They said the BBQ cauliflower wings were amazing in particular! Michael found us DJ Danny who was fantastic throughout. He played some party games and made sure the birthday girl had her time to shine & took our requests all night long. Everyone loved the music! Found this venue by luck & so so glad I was able to have the party here. Would 100% recommend & would use the Pavilion again for a furture party...

was just there. I think we spent guts of £100. food is great but when.leaving the waitress asked my daughter for the crayons back that were missing from the glass that they were in when they gave them to her. Even asked us to open her bag in case she was stealing them.

As an update we went back to the Pavillion last night. I had previously posted about my daughter's (8 years old) purse being searched by a member of staff for missing crayons. That was several months ago. I have been back several times since and have had great food and service. However I brought my wife and kids last night for dinner. Upon ordering a drink the member of staff who had insisted on searching my 8 year old daughter's purse accosted me about my previous review. The staff member called me a liar at which point I asked to speak to a manager. Whilst I was speaking to the manager the staff member involved then started screaming at my wife and kids about the previous review demanding an apology. We decided to leave at which point the same member of staff told me to put her " ××××××× on the next review" . It's a great boozer, great food but just don't ask for crayons for your kids.
