First time in Ravenous on Stranmillis, but definitely not the last! From the second we walked in through the door, the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. There's a great selection of sandwich fillings on offer, as well as toasted sandwiches and soup available. I went for ham and cheese salad on granary. The ham was sliced so thin but it was so incredibly tasty and everything tasted really fresh, from the soft bread to the crunchy cucumber. I paid £6.30 for my sandwich and despite the shop being busy with people waiting for their hot lunch, we were served pretty much straight away by the exceptionally friendly staff. The trouble now is trying not to go there all the time and try every sandwich combination!!

Small but amazing sandwich place located right next to Queens University. The sandwiches are freshly made to order. You can choose if you want mayonaise or butter on your bread and you can choose lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion etc. The guy making your sandwich is really friendly too. We took our sandwiches to the university campus to enjoy the views. Sandwiches were large and filling, for a very good price too. Would highly recommend for a cheap, tasty lunch!

Very good as always used to come here a lot 12 years ago and great to see it’s still around which is obviously due to its quality , had the poached salmon , it was very fresh and the salad was crunchy, the filling in the sandwich was not skimped on , it was value for money for what you get

If you're hungry for average food, poor service and eating with your hands Ravenous at Stranmillis is the place for you. I dropped in for a quick breakfast with my son and clearly shocked the person serving by being there for breakfast, then sat on a stool downstairs that it turned out had a pool of water sitting on it (no apology, concern or even a free coffee), had a surreal discussion over where to put red and brown sauce (it's all more complex than you'd at first imagine) and then was served food in a bag and box with one knife and fork between us. This is my fault for not understanding that this is a student takeaway sandwich shop - not a real breakfast venue where you can sit in comfortably and enjoy attentive customer service - but the staff made all that clear to me. Thank you for reminding me that still in food service in NI there are places that require one to have very low expectations in order to avoid...

I don't know where to start with this place but as a local food critic, to say I was grossly unimpressed was an understatement. The decor of the eatery on a whole is tacky and reminiscent of something you'd find in pre troubles belfast. However, I looked past the layout and decided to sample the food -which really didn't help. The ingredients aren't fresh, the food tasted stale, the layout of the cabinet is slap dash and the staff were both unfriendly and untrained. The manager also appeared to be disgruntled and impolite to both customers and staff. An all round...
