Read moreHelpfully fitted in to a busy restaurant. Order taken quickly. Maybe 15 mins later told no card payments, machine just broken cash only. After about 30 mins, order checked and wait time concerns expressed. After 40 mins an apology as order had been forgotten. We are getting very cold sitting waiting. Everyone around us is served before us. I came in here with my elderly, fragile, only just mobile aunt, leaving her and running to a cash point not really an option. We were ravenous, I'm lightheaded, were thinking of leaving but too hungry to give up! Food took about an hour, apologies were offered. No adjustment to the bill, I was surprised they even charged us. Had very little cash and are then expected to hobble to a cash machine! We were worried if we had enough cash, and when we mentioned this we were sternly reminded we had been told. I pointed out not before we ordered which was not well received.
We did have enough cash but I dread to think what was going to happen if we didn't! We could have come back with it. I think someone, perhaps a manager, should have made some good will gesture here. Also this is a licienced establishment and should not be dependent on one card machine in this day and age. Food was good but overall experience for us was awful! Higher levels of professionalism or management...
Read moreMyself my eldest teenage son and 9 year old son with high functioning autism went here last minute after being in the area after calling to a friend's and hearing good reviews. We hadn't booked a table but were accomdated and a warm welcome. Although the waiting and kitchen staff didn't make a fuss and catered to him along with his plain chocolate fudge for dessert. We went around the 20th July and will definitely be back along with practicing some of my Irish language at the end when paying the bill which was a lovely surprise to hear and speak. We will certainly be back. Also cannot recommend their cocktails enough we were pleasantly surprised and laughed at our 'drunk duck' when it was delivered to us in a bath tub. Cannot wait to...
