Fletchers Bar and Eatery — Restaurant in Birmingham

We attended the MY Comedy, it's held on the second Wednesday of each month. As usual it was excellent.

Prior to the meal, we ordered 4 meals. We were told that there was a 40 minutes wait until the meal would arrive. We agreed to wait. When the meals finally arrived, 50 minutes later. ... there were mixed reviews. Two of our party had ordered the Mezze, 4 Tapas for £15. Which represents good value for money. The portion sizes of each Tapas was generous one of the Tapas was 3 large cheese & leeks croquettes, which was chosen by both, however the leeks were raw. One order was Steak, Chips, onion rings and and salad, everything was well cooked and tasty. The other order Chicken in a parmesan crust, with crushed potatoes and a good selection of vegetables, unfortunately, the vegetables were cold. Nevertheless, we continue to eat, awaiting the waitor, expecting him to ask how was your meal, he did not arrive, so I beaconed him to our table to complain about the parts of the meal which were unsatisfactory. He appeared to note our dissatisfied complaint, however he did not return to make any further comments. Twenty minutes later, I went to the bar, and reminded him of our complaints. He responded that he had told the chef, and he sent his apologies. After a short discussion we asked to speak to the manager. When the manage arrived, he apologised, and refunded part of the cost of the meal. Later a member of our party went to the bar to order drinks, one was a slimline tonic she asked for a slice of lemon, she was told only orange slices were available. She asked for an orange slice which the bartender (the same person who waited on our table) placed in the tonic water using his hands; when she enquired if his hands are clean, and suggested that he should use tongs, he threatened to throw her out.

Pre booked table for food before going to see steve gibbons, only to be treated poorly by a member of staff who didnt want to be there, i think she was struggling with a cold, never got a table and no menu until last minute, so i ordered a burger £9.95 sounds good, so my friend had same, menu was unsure if it come with chips, but it did i think about 10 altogether, 2 onion rings and the cheapest coleslaw you could imagine, i cut my burger in half see photo, i never complain about food to the staff i just never go again, to top it off i was told i would have reserved seat to see steve Gibbons, so we took our seat only to be told we couldnt sit there because we didnt reserve, so ended up having to sit behind a speaker see photo, all in all not a great experience will not return, only consolation was...

A shame but this was one of my favourite places to go for many years but on Sunday 24 August saw woman and dog get pushed down stairs and out door of upstairs flat which the owners let a scumbag live in. She was crying and he then threw the dog carrier at the dog and then trapped the leed in the door. Police were called and he screamed at them but nothing was done. He is there a lot and it is starting to feel unsafe. Often off his face and seen him shouting at female bar staff. Dont kno why they put up with it. 10/10 to the bar staff who all tried very hard to help the poor girl and do what they cud. Serious let down by bar and police to allow domestic and animal abuse like that especially on york rd witch is supposed to...
