Superdrug — Local services in Birmingham

Pretty bad. The store is well stocked and merchandised, but the staff are terrible when it comes to service. They wander around the store singing, which I guess it OK, but this afternoon it took four members of staff, including the manager maybe (Tasha?) to try and work out how to do a refund for a guy who was returning something that was bought with the 'buy one get one half price' offer, which was frustrating enough as they'd allowed him to jump in front of me. A queue began to form behind me with other customers questioning if everything was alright. After this I asked if one of them could serve me. Begrudgingly, one staff member moved to another till and, with no sense of urgency, proceeded to clear the till area of various detritus, though missing a bottle of cleaning spray in front of the card machine. I told her I was there to collect an order. She shuffled around for some hand held device. Upon retrieving it, she leant against the counter and looked at me silent and expectant. I looked back. Nothing. "Err...?" was all I could muster, unsure how to proceed. "I'm ready for your order number." She told me. "Oh, right, you didn't say that." I read her the number, she found the box and gave it me. She scanned the one item I'd retained, having decanted the rest of the items through annoyance. I move the cleaning product, paid and walked to the door. The security alarm went off. I paused momentarily, then left. I won't go here again. I don't have the patience. No wonder the high street is dying. Selly Oak Superdrug is so much better...

@ Kylie Emma hello this is the “the black girl “ your referring to I can tell you that me and my Yemen friend “Asian girl” get positive reviews all day everyday and I’m abit disheartened about this review you have on me as I always give every customer ever the out of order ones 100% respect and kindness and I have never been aggressive towards anyone as I was brought up with manners ! , which is why I am abit confused as to why you’ve called me aggressive I’ve never been aggressive to anyone just not in my blood and if you would like to contract or come in to the store again I’ll gladly show you my respect and kindness. Which I get compliments on my people skills .

And my team leader “asian girl “ had to one of the best team leader the store has had in a long time which her patience’s and kindness to customers is real .

Which I don’t understand is why most of your reviews are negative and I don’t not appreciate you saying are we on the spectrum this is quite rude as to I have a sibling which is on the spectrum and I don’t appreciate that language.

appalling attitude by female on the till .. wouldn’t explain why the product was for over 25’s .. we thought it was plastic to take off hair removing cream for arms and legs …the arrogance in her voice .. interrupting mine( I’m over 45) and my daughters ( 12 years old)conversation .. I wanted to see what product was tell me she wasn’t allowing me to look at it…she put in under the till accusing me of embarrassing my daughters and abruptly telling me I’m not letting you buy it … it’s your daughters money .. then as we tryed to explain we thought it was plastic .. she wasn’t interested .. ignorantly dismissing me… looking over at another female staff member smiling to her !!!!the worst shop I’ve ever visited .. no customer care but pure arrogance and humiliation to customers!! I said where’s the manager… she smiled sarcastically “ I am the manager” !! We were gobsmacked at this disgraceful upsetting experience!!!!!! After I paid for my purchase she then allowed me to read the box and I read for myself they were plastic...
