Greggs — Restaurant in Birmingham

Visited today and left some shopping there but only realised when I got home. I called up the store and explained the situation where a staff member asked me what was in the bag which I told her and she let me know that they had it and I could go and collect it. When I arrived to collect MY things it seemed as though they were talking a while to get MY bag of shopping??? May I add the lady I spoke to on the phone was lovely and made conversation during this time as I think she was a bit confused herself. However, another lady came over and said “we have a primark bag but it’s empty” and then proceeded to ask for my number and if I could come back later while she looked at the cameras to see who’d taken my things as she couldn’t find them??? I don’t live by the fort so I said I was told by your colleague you had my things so has a staff member taken them? Which she dismissed trying to be friendly??!! Then I was told to take a seat and she would be back in 10 minutes to “look for them” Then miraculously she comes out with my things?! I’m sorry but this doesn’t add up and I was very shocked and disgusted that a member of staff appeared to be trying to steal off a paying customer!! Or any member of the public for that matter!! You should be ashamed!! So glad I stood my ground and didn’t leave...

I use this Greggs purely down to cost for eating at work everyday on a budget. However, since using this Greggs the past 4 weeks on a weekly basis the older Asian lady they have employed is rude and pasts remarks about customers right in front of them thinking they can’t hear because of some plastic covering around the top of the till. Days later 4 more customers who was seated complained about the same staff member, as she was replenishing the shop floors products she gave customers openly a dirty look even while the manager was dealing with their complaints. These customers weren’t being passive aggressive or loud just simply talking about how rude this staff member was. I normally use Sutton Coldfield both Greggs branches for the past 4 years. Zero issues… however this staff member bring an atmosphere and wrecks Word of Mouth for the Fort...

I am absolutely disappointed. I have been shopping around with 2 children and decided that I wanted to go greggs at 7.00pm after my Christmas shopping and I was met with a completely empty store. This store closes at 8 and at 7 a whole HOUR before closing, they had nothing available.
