This place came recommended by a couple of people. And despite seeing some recent poor reviews on Google; I decided to visit anyway as everyone has off days. In hindsight, I should have taken on board these reviews… Parking is a major issue as the restaurant is situated along a very busy road leading towards Solihull and Tyseley. Thankfully I managed to find a space a mere 100 yds away. It was incredibly busy as I walked in and the first member of staff said I was looking at around 10/15 mins wait whilst the member of staff behind the counter said it would be about an hour. Miraculously, a table suitable for my family and I became available. It was cramped but not uncomfortable so we accepted. Menu had a good range on offer and prices seemed to be in keeping with other establishments in Birmingham. Starters came out very quick, were hot and fresh. Can’t fault it… Drinks came out soon after and the mocktails were a huge disappointment. Taste wise they didn’t come close any of the others I’ve been to even though the price was the same. Also, they provided less of it, which given the poor taste didn’t seem like a bad thing. Mains were disappointing unfortunately. It was very clear the steak used at this establishment isn’t of high quality beef. You do get a generous amount but I’d prefer good quality over quantity and I’m prepared to pay for that every time. Service wise, I think it would be unfair to say it’s poor. As I stated at the beginning of review, it was incredibly busy. However, from personal experience I do think it’s possible to deliver excellent service even in really busy environments. Just needs the will of senior management team to make it happen… One other thing, and this isn’t a criticism, it’s an observation. Space is a huge issue everywhere not just in Birmingham. I think efforts have been made to get the most seating area as possible out of the floor space and diners comfort was either not a consideration or it wasn’t a priority at all. You could see, even the floor staff at times struggled to manoeuvre around with their orders, clearing tables or just going from table to table.

Me & my wife visited this venue on 22/09/21 We arrived a little after 20:00pm, as we arrived we were asked to take a seat until a table became available. We waited approximately 6 minutes and were seated. Our group consisted of Two adults & a baby in a car seat. Once seated we noticed quiet a few empty tables so couldn’t understand the delay in seating us. Anyhow we were offered menus and given a few moments to preview them. Getting someone’s attention to actually take our order was difficult as the 3 waiters serving in our area were busy. Eventually we ordered Cod Bites as a starter & the mix grill followed by 2 drinks. We requested some table water for the table - this was to cool down the babies milk that we had prepared and bought with us. Only to be told by the waiter that it’s bottled water Only - to which I asked do you not have any tap water in the taps in the kitchen? The waiter replied NO - so we left it at that Fortunately our baby slept through the meal so we didn’t need to feed her. Our starter arrived - 3 fish sticks the size of skinny fish fingers with a side of tartar sauce. So this was for a single person not two, definitely not enough for 2 people but with a price tag of £5.95 I expected more then 3 finger size sticks. The main which was the mixed grill was ok. We observed that the single ladies who arrived were given a lot of attention by the waiters. One waiter was even told to go sit with the ladies as he was hovering over her that much My strawberry daiquiri drink was just slush in a glass - nothing special at all We didn’t stay for dessert or any hot drinks - you know due to them not having any water in the taps how could they possibly make a cup of tea? Think this place has been over hyped, the whole cash payment only raises other questions but hey we are not the HMRC Wouldn’t recommend for families but yeah for the single ladies who don’t mind the heavy interaction from the waiters go for it....

Having heard such glowing reviews about your establishment, I was genuinely excited to visit and brought my husband along for what we hoped would be a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, the reality fell quite short of our expectations, particularly when it came to the food. To start, the chicken parmesan was a significant disappointment. The presentation and quality were nothing like the images showcased online. Instead of the crumbed chicken we anticipated, we received a small piece of fried chicken smothered in sauce, served cold. It wasn’t enjoyable, and I regret to say we couldn’t finish the meal. Similarly, the Papri Chaat failed to meet expectations. The portion size was surprisingly small and looked nothing like what was advertised. The chickpeas were also hard (stale?). This felt deceitful, as I was really looking forward to trying it but left feeling deeply disappointed. To add to this, the food took an unusually long time to arrive, which further compounded our dissatisfaction. Given the wait, we had hoped for higher-quality dishes that aligned with the glowing reputation your restaurant holds. While the waitstaff were lovely and the ambiance of your restaurant is beautiful, the food unfortunately overshadowed these positives. I left not only dissatisfied but also slightly unwell, which added to my upset. Considering we made an effort to travel to your restaurant, I feel let down and disappointed with the overall experience. I hope you will consider this feedback and take steps to address these issues. Your reputation suggests you value customer satisfaction, and I trust you will strive to improve. I look forward to hearing from you regarding how this matter might be rectified.

Terrible experience from the moment we sat down. Received 2 menus and one drinks menu between 4 people. Once we were ready to place our order we had to ask multiple waiters and wait 30 minutes before placing an order. Once we place the order we waited another 40 minutes for food to arrive. 1 person ordered the T-bone steak medium cooked came out bloody. 1 person ordered a rib eye medium rare and came out well done. 1 person ordered the rib eye medium cooked came out fine. 1 person ordered the loaded burger and loaded fries and the taste was bland. The loaded Fries served in a small bowl looked like dog food and the presentation and taste of it was very poor. The steak was good cut but the cook was completely wrong. We didn’t have anyone ask how our food was until we had been put off and after a few bites as we were all hungry after a long days trip. Told the waiter and he took it back and said that’s how we cook medium rare and medium steak. After the t-bone was ordered medium we showed them then rib eye and said this was medium rare so why is one bloody and the other well done even if you messed up the ordered. They did offer to cook the steak longer however we explained it would ruin it and they had ruined our appetite. We asked for the bill from 3 different people and it took 20 minutes before we stood up and go the bill ourselves from the counter and the management said we will bring it to you. We explained how long we waited for the bill and we also explained how our experience and food was. Management had offered end dessert but we had lost our appetite and paid our bill in full after we sent some food back. If I could give 0 stars I would. Rubbish experience will not be returning to the restaurant after...
