Wok bruvvas — Restaurant in Birmingham

Very small space inside, 2 small tables to it in but mostly occupied by delivery people and their bags or take away customers standing around so very uncomfortable to eat there surrounding by people watching you.

Quick service, we waited maybe about 20 min for our 3 boxes. We took it away to eat at home.

Super presentation, great packing so we're very keen to try it.

Ordered 2 schezwan dishes one with chicken and one with tofu, 3rd was Flaming cracker with tofu

Let me talk about schezwan first.

Unfortunately unless they messed up our order and gave something else instead I think it was a terrible choice... Veggies were okay, variety of different of vegetables with some unusual addition like celery sticks, rather on a harder side but we don't mind more raw than cooked vegetables. Chicken had strange taste, like a block of something difficult to identify if you didn't know that is a chicken. Not sure why was it so hard and had thick layer around it. Tofu was just okay, very oily. But the sauce was totally disappointing, all you could taste was zest and vinegar. Now looking at their menu I'm wondering if they served us something else as it tasted nothing like schezwan we ate before.

Flaming Cracker was good, bit sweet, very mild even after picking out 6 dried red chillies. I but it wasn't good enough to go back again.

Maybe it was wrong choice of dishes and we should've tried something else but thought will go with something safe and solid for a first order.

There is no parking outside, long stretch of bus lane on a very busy road.

So to summarise it is really nice and looking clean place, good service, we waited beautiful presentation and packing.

But food wasn't up to expectations from such a nice looking establishment unfortunately. Maybe if I feel adventures I will order again but something different as there must be a reason why this place is so busy with take away deliveries.

Outside area has terrible wonky footpath with broken tiles coming out as you step on it so be careful to not trip over. It seems like there is in the neighbourhood a dog who likes thar spot for his toilet, I by the size of what he left behind I would say it's a very large dog with big size...

I went here earlier today 24/01/23 for the first time as I was driving past this shop caught my eye and it was time to eat. So we decided to go in and try out there food. As we entered a young gentleman approached us and asked us what would we like and showed us the menu. Very friendly chap he was white with glasses and long hair. Gave us few recommendations and we decided to place 2 separate orders and try things on the menu. Our orders were quite big and as we waited for the food I decided to take some pics of myself and the beautiful decor. Shop is quite small but looks really cool inside. We could smell the whiff of food being cooked and i know my food really well so it was a very nice smell coming from the back. As our food came it was very well presented and packed and upon eating our first bites I was blown away it was absolutely brilliant and very tasty, delicious, full of flavours and fresh. Everything I ordered was spot on and cooked to perfection very very pleased. Excellent food and excellent customer service well done. This is going to be my favourite go to place when I drive past again. Prices are good and portion sizes were excellent as they come in a round plastic container and on top...

We visited wok bruvvas on 21st January 2023 after seeing them in Instagram and im not kidding when u say the food was amazing! MA SHA ALLAH!! We recieved a big bowl of prawn crackers..these were authentic and delicious with a side of sweet chilli sauce. For starters We ordered the dynamite prawns and they were crispy and full of flavour with a delicious sauce and salad. The owner also gave us a portion of crispy Korean bites that packed tons of flavour and delivered the right amount of heat...they were divine! For our mains we had the Malaysian curry and sticky rice that was beautifully spiced, fragrant and mouth watering. We also tried the Nasegoreng and once again we were blown away by the taste and flavour this delivered. We will definitely be returning to try some more food, very authentic and packed full of flavour. The staff were very friendly with great customer service.
