I had such a fantastic experience at Kababish in Boldmere that I had to leave a review. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel truly valued throughout the evening.

The venue itself is stylish, clean, and cosy, with a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. You can really tell they’ve put thought into every detail to create a comfortable and inviting space.

Now, let’s talk about the food — simply exceptional. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The spices, the freshness, and the quality of the ingredients were all spot on. You can really taste the care and authenticity in every bite.

We never celebrate Valentines Day as I've always thought it's a bit commercial tbh, my boyfriend is the romantic one 😃 but had a lovely meal on the 16th here instead. My partner had a chicken starter and I the salmon and both tasted great, with salad on the plate too, a must for me. A mixed fish platter for my boyfriend and Tarka Dhal as a main for me were beautifully presented and so tasty. We had lovely service from our waitress too. The menu has plenty of variety and some healthy options, so full marks on that. There is also a very extensive wine, champagne and 🍸 cocktails list, one of the most impressive I've seen. Having said that I'm a whisky gal and enjoyed a Jameson's over ice, my partner had coke as he was driving. The tables are well spaced apart which we like and the temperature was just right (I tend to feel the cold) considering Storm Dudley swirling about outside. Really enjoyable...

A harsh 4 but I think others would have rated 5 (I rarely give a 5 but this was close) - wish could give half stars as would've given 4.5.

What I was impressed by - the takeout box presentation and the way the food was double insulated with foil to keep the food as hot as poss which makes a big difference when eating at home (despite it probably incresaing their costs), food tasted better as a result, the salad given was nice (much better than the usual takeaway salads given) - contained fresh ingredients - the small details like including rocket/peppers too great addition!!!

What could be improved - I ordered the sizzler grill for 2 but it wasn't enough for 2 really, mint sauce (as others have pointed out) could do with improving and price slightly expensive but not outrageously so.

I'm looking forward to trying a few more dishes...
