You have to give a table number before you order, which is fine but if you're alone you gotta hope that nobody takes your table whilst ordering. I ordered a sausage & egg sandwich and a cappuccino and the price was about a pound more than what I'd thought it would be. The menu states the prices, sausage was say for eg £4 but 50p extra for the egg that's pricey in itself, so I asked the girl I didn't think my bill was right and she said yes it is, how she knew that on the spur of the moment I have no idea as she didn't even serve me ,then she promptly walked off. So I asked another girl who worked it out and said yes it's correct a pound extra for the egg and 50p extra for the drink ,do I asked why more than the menu states to be told your sitting at a table. When I'd eaten there before inside it wasn't extra to sit at a table you have to to be able to eat, but it's not stated you pay more for sitting down. The bistro has always been pricey and you are under the assumption that your paying for better food but it's just a sandwich and so not worth a pound for an egg, I could have got 6 eggs from Sainsbury's for 95p. Poor service, waitresses that brush you off and VERY overpriced, don't bother going there go further up to by the charity shop and get a full English breakfast for less than the delis sausage n egg sandwich, staff are way more pleasant and the good is lovely and they don't charge...
Read moreIt is a dirty filthy hole. I went for breakfast with my family the tables were filthy, the knives and forks were filthy egg stains still on them. It took three attempts to get our drinks after waiting half an hour. The food order was incorrect, the backyard where we sat hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. Even the passageway was filthy. To be fair breakfast was half decent and the staff were friendly. Our breakfast came and we asked for them to replace the knife and forks. I also needed some condiments first they brought the salt and then went away and brought the sugar and went away again and brought back with the butter and then came back with the knife and forks, all this time my breakfast was going cold. I would hate to see behind-the-scenes. It must be absolutely filthy, based on...
Read moreI feel this place is slowly declining in food quality but mainly a huge decline in service.
Service took over 1 hour even though we were the second lot of people to arrive on Sunday. I understand larger tables need to be served before us e.g. the table of 10 this Sunday, the table of 4 etc. Please note they did not order before us but both arrived after and ordered after.
I think that when going here you should consider the length of time it takes food to arrive. The coffee and tea arrived very promptly, in future or if I had known I would have asked for them to be with food - as obviously they were drunk before the arrival of food.
Tables need to be cleaned or cleaned better. Bunting needs to be secured higher before someone trips/bumps. Crockery is nice and the...
