Olympic Cafe — Restaurant in Birmingham

I have given 5stars for the service only.(This owners response is ridiculous and nowhere in my review did I say I had TINNED TEA! so don't misquote me!) Because the lady that took my order was polite and helpful. The food arrived quickly which I will also give them credit for. However, the breakfast (A bronze breakfast-Small) was way below my expectations. The bacon was not cooked enough for me , it had probably been in the frying pan for no more than 2minutes so the rind was still white, fatty & undercooked. The fried egg was cooked Perfectly (slightly runny) tinned tomatoes? Well not much to say on this as it's tinned tomatoes! The sausage was cooked (it was cut in half)well but tasted like it lacked much meat content it tasted like the cheaper brand from costcutters perhaps? The toast was ok but im no fan of Margarine, my biggest gripe was the TINNED MUSHROOMS on my plate! (YES I DO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRESH MUSHROOMS & TINNED and they were tinned and you have only to read other less favourable reviews to get my point)Tinned mushrooms have no place on any plate let alone a full English breakfast! They are tasteless slices of rubber that resemble diced slugs. Why this cafe cut corners on the mushrooms is a mystery to me it's not like mushrooms are that expensive, and producing a full English breakfast is hardly difficult either. If your going to put tinned tomatoes, tinned beans, tinned mushrooms undercooked bacon and cheap sausages with marginal meat content in them & present All that as a full English breakfast? THEN don't bother Serving them... And im no fan of having to eat breakfast with a waitress spraying cleaning fluid behind me as she prepares the table for the next customers... And the cup of tea would have made a builder proud, it was undrinkable for me and made my teeth squeak! Suffice to say I cannot give anymore than 1 star for the breakfast at this place based on what I was served.sorry guys but a full English breakfast should have quality ingredients included and be a meal that sets you up for the day, this one failed on all counts.( Your only asked how you like your eggs i.e runny etc your not asked how you like your bacon...

I'll start by saying that the food was half decent. I won't deny that, however the bacon was a little more undercooked than I would like.

I ordered a sausage and egg sandwich which my partner said she liked, however I had 4 sausage, 4 bacon and 1 hash brown in a tray...instead I got 4 bacon, 2 sausages cut in half, and 2 hash browns 🤔

I wouldn't mind except for the fact that the contents were written on the paper it was wrapped in. I will add the photo on the the photo section. The hash browns were removed as they were...

I just had my coffee and my sandwich at this lovely place. It is a a great place. First thing attracts you there is the people. The stuff. Polite smilling people ready to serve you and make your day. The food was great and I think I found a new place to visit more and more often. Also don't worry about the parking because although the place is busy usually you find a parking space very easy. Overall definatelly try...
