Lockdown review - Picasso's desserts
Ordered & told to collect within 15 minutes.
Transaction went smoothly. Greeted with warm smiles & served professionally by the staff. The place was clean & tidy!
Ordered:
A (create your own) crepe with strawberries & belgian milk chocolate & belgian white chocolate.
A la lecture waffle
3x unicorn dreams sundae
Returned home & on arrival, quickly took pictures.
The crepe was delicious & warm (even though I live 6.8 miles from them) it was neither too hard nor too soft, neither too sweet nor too bland & without exaggeration quickly triggered my salivary glands into party mode. The strawberries were fresh & sweet & literally melted in my mouth, the mini marshmallows warm & sensational triggering fond memories from childhood. The belgian milk & white chocolate was of high quality & tasted simply stupendous & the blend of warm with the cold ice cream married perfectly. The ice cream too was instantly recognised (by my profusely salivating mouth) to be of decent quality. 9/10
Moving on to the 'la lecture' waffle. The waffle was warm, delicious, not sickly sweet but just right. The mini marshmallows tasty, warm & the sensational melted nutella with the sweet fresh strawberries just made it all the more desirable & went so well with the delicious high quality creamed ice-cream. This was simply delicious. 9/10
Moving on to the 'unicorn dreams' sundaes or rather 'saturdays' as picassos has named them. To be fair to all 3 of the 'unicorn dreams' sundaes 🤭 I tasted each one for consistency (before passing them on to the eagerly awaiting rightful owners). The bubblegum syrup was delicious as were the snapped delicious wafers & they worked in perfect unison with the high quality strawberry & bubblegum ic-cream. I did not deem it appropriate to consume or even take a nibble out of the rainbow bracelet or the lollypop that this masterpiece was decorated with because my kids were watching hawk-eyed. Although these 3 unicorns were consistent with each other, the previous batch had much more marshmallows 😐 7/10
Staff/service/hygiene 9/10

Read moreFirst time I decided to try this place was in September 22/09/18 as a treat for my daughters birthday. Desserts were good like any other desserts place but they overcharged me £40 when my bill was only £28. Went back as i knew the bill seemed quite steep for just a few desserts and 2 drinks. They finally realised their error and paid me back £40 and just aplogised. I was just in total shock. I decided to go back again and give this place another go on 2/11/18. 1 of the waiters took our order made us wait for abut 15_20 mins and then tell us the ice cream mashine is not working. I ordered a cookie dough but there was no chocolate sauce on it. So I asked if they can put a Lil drizzle on top. They smothered my cookie dough in chocolate sauce. I did not enjoy my dessert and only ate half. When I was ready to pay my bill I explained to the guy with curly hair abut the whole experience and we didn't have any shakes due to their mashine braking down. He was going to charged me £19. When I questioned the bill again and told him I only had 2 desserts he then questioned me abut the shakes. I then had to tell him again i did not have the shakes as their mashine was not working. I told him I was not happy with their service and how they keep over charging and making mistakes. He then decides to give a slice of carrot cake on the house to my sister which just shocked me even more. Overall a very bad experience and their staff needs more training, it's a no no for me. They have really put me off. Guys check your bill before paying, as they...
Read morePicasso’s Dessert is an absolute treasure for anyone with a sweet tooth! Tucked away like a hidden gem, this place serves desserts that are genuinely out of this world. Over the past four years, I've been making the trip from Bristol and I always end my trip with the incredible experience Picasso’s offers, and it has never disappointed. Despite growing in popularity, Picasso’s has managed to maintain its high standard of service, making every visit feel special.
The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the team provides fantastic service every time. There’s one standout staff member, a brother with slicked-back hair, who is always polite, respectful, and makes you feel right at home. Even when he's not there, the rest of the team is just as amazing, ensuring that every guest is treated with the same warmth and attentiveness.
As for the desserts, they are simply sensational! My go-to is the Blueberry Muffin Milkshake paired with the Queen of Hearts—this combination is unbeatable and a must-try for any visitor. I never leave Birmingham without indulging in it. Another favorite of mine is the Pistachio Milk Cake, which is nothing short of fantastic. It’s rich, flavorful, and always leaves me wanting more.
If you’re ever in Birmingham, Picasso’s Dessert should be at the top of your list. Their unique, top-quality desserts and excellent service make every visit unforgettable. Highly...
