Piri Fino - Sutton Coldfield — Restaurant in Birmingham

Visited this place a good half a dozen times in the past and had good experience in general, the food is very tastey but the service at times can be very slow. The two stars are for the quality of the food only as we visited here prior to the most recent lockdown and had a very off putting experience. We normally eat in, but if course this time we ordered take out. We were told it would take 10 minutes, so we waited that long in the car then my husband went in. He was told to wait outside as there were a group of about 4/5 youths in the shop who it seemed had walked in and ordered then and there. After another 5+ minutes my husband went it again to check if our order was ready. He didn't understand why this group had already ordered, but instead of being told to wait outside we're still allowed to wait in the shop. By this time there were two other men also waiting for their order and having to go in and out of the shop because this group were allowed to stay inside. If there is a limit on the number of people allowed in at any one time, why not ask them to wait outside? I don't think this is unreasonable.

Once another 5 or so minutes had passed, my husband and the other men all went into the shop to again check on their orders (of course this was getting a bit tedious now). The youths in the shop were not wearing masks and started to point at my husband, making comments like "ah, look at him with his mask on", "he looks like a right idiot", "what, do you think you're going to catch something mate". One of them even went around the counter to the side my husband was standing on and reached right in front of him, intentionally getting as close as possible and picked up a straw, at this point the rest of them started to laugh even louder, in fact they were staring, jibbing, sniggering etc. all the while. The other men there kindly told my husband to continue ignoring them.

What did the staff do? Absolutely nothing! They did not say a single thing. My point is, this was not a COVID safe environment and the staff should gave spoken up/acted to make sure it was, and to at least attempt to stop their customers from being harassed.

Therefore in an effort to be fair, the two stars are for the food quality only. The delay in orders and apparent disregard for customer safety means we will not be buying from here again.... pandemic or not. They do not...

I am a Uber delivery driver. I am a full-time medical student and I work part time to support myself. I picked at least 5 orders from this restaurant till today. Out of 5 i had to see a disrespectful behaviour 3 times. There is a guy there( skiny, long hight, scar marks on the face) i couldn’t catch his name , when i went there first time he laughed at me aling with his colleague. Second time also he was disrespectful. And third time his behaviour was even worst and he refused to hand over the order untill start my journey. I requested him to at least show me the receipt so that i will be able to identify the correct order but he was keep refusing. It’s a common sense how could someone start the journey before even touching the parcel. I was leaving the restaurant and he was still saying the bad comments. I assume it could be becoz of my brown skin i am not sure. But i am disappointed and disheartened after this behaviour. I will keep picking the orders from this restaurant and if they continue disrespecting me i will keep putting the review from different accounts untill they start respecting the...

I was disappointed with the food when I visited Piri Fino a few weeks ago.

I ordered the full platter which was full chicken and fries and mash.

I found that the chicken and fries tasted the same - same seasoning and I personally found it quite bland and the hot chicken wasn't hot at all.

The mash was okay but i can make basic mash at home with pepper.

The people are nice but it's not like a restaurant people don't wait on you.

When I ordered food I was given two small sauce tubs which didn't last the chips let alone the chicken.

Prices online are not the same as in store. I found out that prices in store are a lot more than anticipated and as it's the same price as nandos I would rather go to nandos!

Lastly the toilets! The one toilet that I could see was dirty and the toilet seat had urine all over it and on floor around it and they had no hand soap whatsoever. I couldnt even wadh my hands before eating or use the bathroom I had to find face wipes in my handbag.
