I would leave a review about the food but I can’t, because the food didn’t arrive at all. I am very unhappy and disappointed, this is my first time ordering from this place and it’s been a massive let down; the driver was rude, and I suspect uneducated, and the staff weren’t helpful at all. I have deduced that the driver has delivered it to a different address from the information he has given me and my colleagues. First, the driver has told me he has delivered it to the correct place because he has been here before, and I quote, “I have been to your factory before”, but I don’t work in a factory, I work in a clinic. The address was correct and clear; SMETHWICK DIALYSIS CENTRE, UNIT 2. Yet, with his infinite wisdom, he has delivered it to UNIT 3, to a factory next door to, and the driver claimed “I handed it to the receptionist, the Asian guy”. Even though, there are no asian guys at our reception. There also happens to be a big sign on the building with the name of the building “SMETHWICK DIALYSIS CENTRE”. So, judging by this, the driver can neither count not read. I’m assuming he can just about follow a coloured arrow on a mobile phone screen. Therefore, this driver may need a refund with his education. Albeit, I’m sure it isn’t much. Furthermore, when I called the restaurant to ask about my order and how it has ended up next door; the member of staff that answered wasn’t very helpful. The member of staff advised that, and I quote, “bring it up with justeat and complain there”. Funnily enough, this is what the driver told me at the end. Is there a script for these members of staffs to follow if they have all made mistakes? Rather than owning up to the mistake, apologising, and then make reparations? Wouldn’t that have been better? Isn’t that why it’s called the hospitality industry? I am very disappointed as I was very much looking forward to the meal. Especially because I am in the middle of a 12.5hr shift, taking care of people, and I don’t believe I deserve this sort...
Read moreI have been going to this place for over 3 years, my little sister is a massive fan of the pasta pots. Never really had a major issue before apart from sometimes overcooked or dry food but nothing to complain about due to the food being pretty decent in general. But this time it was different(apparently new owners from some reviews I've read), I bought 4 Pasta pots and Pitta meal for my work colleagues totalling around 55 pounds. Unfortunately I ordered over the phone to collect and that was the big mistake. The Pitta was fine, but the pasta pots were extremely salty, I mean very very salty. So I called up and let the guy on phone know there is something wrong, it's not normally like this, but apparently everything is premade in a factory and then comes to the store so it can't be anything, they don't boil pasta in store, nor are the marinades or sauces made in store, after some lousy excuses and arguing, he then asked me to come and drop the food back off for a replacement during my lunch break which of course wasn't possible (15 mins journey there and back twice). We had to throw all of the pots away, it was genuinely inedible.
The fresh ingredients etc that they advertise on the website is basically false. I quote "Using the finest, freshest, 100% natural ingredients, we never compromise on quality." and "always freshly prepared for the ultimate standard of taste." So according to the guy over the phone, the freshly prepared means everything comes from a factory and they put it together. If you are going to order from this place, order via JustEat or UberEats so you are well protected for scenarios like this....
Read moreNEVER USE THIS COMPANY WHEN ORDERING THROUGH UBER-EATS.
After placing an order through UberEats, I immediately phoned this shop, and asked the staff member to cancel it (because their expected delivery time was showing exceptionally higher than what UberEats initially calculated). But this lady I spoke to on the Telephone was very rude to me, refusing to cancel my order because she said I had to do it myself on UberEats (which is not true; UberEats asks customers to cancel orders directly with the store). And then, this lady HUNG THE PHONE UP ON ME (AND SHE IGNORED MY CALL WHEN I CALLED BACK) - thereby meaning the order got forcefully delivered even though I had requested her to cancel it. This turned out to be such a waste of food (when she could so easily have cancelled the order when I asked her to rather than be awkward) - and this very rude behaviour has put me off using this store again. I WOULD ESPECIALLY ADVISE OTHERS TO AVOID ORDERING THROUGH UBER-EATS FOR THIS STORE, AS IT CREATES...
