Renato Lounge — Restaurant in Birmingham

My friend and I visited the nostrano lounge in Staines on Tuesday 11th July . We went in we chose a place near the coat stand . We looked at the menu and wanted to look at soup of the day we looked at menu to order other food and then went over to bar to order and pay for our food We were met by a frosty unfriendly girl blonde hair about 5ft tall . We asked about soup of the day she replied and said" I don't know" absolutely Appalling. Miserable frosty bad attitude avoid her at all costs .we paid andsat down . The guy who brought our food to the table was smiling very pleasant complete opposite to other member of staff . It was like night and day . He had good customer skills . He came up To ask us if our food was ok and it was excellent . He cleared our table again very pleasant . When I went up to order desserts I was waiting at bar the guy had his back to me but I saw the same girl who was disinterested coming towards me . She saw me waiting and walked straight past . Very bad she is very rude She only smiled and laughed when she was talking to the men. That speaks volumes. The food 10/10 The guy who served our food to the table 10/10 The unpleasant girl 0/10 I phoned head office spoke to Caroline she said someone would ring me NOTHING since . So much for caring about customer feedback. That girl Needs to be sacked she likes talking to the guys not doing her job . ( Rated at 90% rather than 4/5 ! ) Relaxed setting for drinks (coffees / teas / alcohol etc including free water on tap) and reasonably priced bistro-type food (high qual cafe rather than restaurant) from 9am. Try the tapas for variety if not then perhaps something a little more substantial - there’s a very reasonable choice whether carnivore / veggie / vegan, the latter being well represented on the menu rather than just a begrudging nod ! From opening time onwards the relaxed approach draws people in - parents & toddlers, owners & their dogs, partners & friends, and those seeking a bit of “me-time”. On the evenings, particularly Friday & Saturday, don’t take it for granted you’ll get a table straight away but it’ll be worthy of any wait. Oh yes, for everyone old enough to remember, the name given to the Lounge is more than a little self-evident upon entering !!

Ordered a tomato and mozzarella panini a few weeks ago ( takeaway ), asked for NO smoky sauce and NO rocket. Order arrived with no beef tomatoes, one of the main ingredients. Very disappointing. This was pointed out to staff on next visit. Got told order will be checked next time. Ordered same again today, and again NO tomatoes were included !!!! Currently receiving chemo and choosing food is very difficult as taste buds are severely affected. Food is the one enjoyment I have at the moment. I look forward to my food. Phoned up and got told ' when a customer doesn't want tomato salsa that usually means they don't want tomatoes '....I said " no it doesn't ' ( the sauce is smoky, not a taste I could tolerate ). After putting phone down I realised there was NO MOZZARELLA included either this time, so both main ingredients missing. £7.50 for a bit of pesto on ciabatta!!!! Thought order was supposed to be checked ?. Got told next order would be ' free'..we'll it's not really I have paid for an empty...
