Me and my partner came here with the kids and decided to get some food for us both while they played in the ballpit. We ordered 2 burgers with sides of chips and also ordered a side of onion rings to come with our food. We waited around 20 minutes which is fine however our food came it was lukewarm at best and i had upgraded my fries to the smokehouse ones as i was eating the fries there was a long hair in my food i know it couldn’t of came from me as it was basically black and was underneath the meat i hadn’t touched yet. Our onion rings still hadn’t came out at this point. I went to the desk and told the woman there was hair in my food and she completely disregarded it and told me to take my plate into the other section and tell them. Once i went into the other area i told a woman about the hair and she was telling me how it couldn’t of came from their chefs as the meat is pre-made and just warmed up so it would of came from the people who deliver the food which makes no sense as it was on top of my chips but under the meat. She took the plate off me and said she would get them to remake it i go back to our table and our onion rings still haven’t been brought out and my partner is nearly finished with her food. It’s only once i complained did the onion rings get brought around 10 minutes later and then another 10 minutes later my food was brought out again and it was just as cold as the first one when surely you’d make it better. Our waiter was lovely she said she hoped this one was better and that if there was a problem to bring it back in but from reading other reviews i thought it was a waste of time as someone sent their food back 3 times before changing it altogether. I didn’t end up eating the burger and barely the chips because if the first batch has a hair in it what’s to say the rest of them don’t. It put me off completely and as i paid £30 for the meal i expected a bit better then that no apologies were given nothing in return for it. My partner then as she got home also complained of not feeling too good and had a bad belly. I’m very disappointed and definitely will not be going...
Read moreThis is now owned by Sizzlers and the first couple of times we went the food, service and price were all good and definitely a lot better than it was; however, on our last 2 visits, last one (16th October '22) we were not as impressed at all.
I downloaded and use the app so I can order from the table and pay and it is a good job ... On our last visit all the meals we wanted to order were all unavailable (out of stock), so we were not happy to just settle for something we didn't want and left
The time before this, maybe 3 /4 weeks before, we ordered 4 meals, 3 of which were the ultimate mixed grill. We requested all steak medium well. After waiting 3/4 of an hour for our meals, when they came one of the steaks was medium raw with blood oozing out just with a press. Needless to say we told the staff and they apologised and took it back ... After 10 mins approx. they bright it back with a new steak but everything else the same and had clearly been under a heat lamp so wasnt the best but my daughter ate it as she was hungry, but this time the steak was well done.
The steaks on the other 2 were both not as requested either. One was medium well, and more well well than medium, but edible enough. The other was medium raw, but more raw (not as bad as the first one) ... This was mine and whilst I wanted medium well I was able to eat it as long as I didn't look at it!!
It is a shame this started off so well when it reopened and slowly seems to be going backwards, but I really hope it can turn it around again.
Edited Addition: Thank you for your quick response to my feedback, this is appreciated and a good start to restoring some faith that my experience and comments, can help for areas that can be improved, especially if others have advised similar/the same. Thank you again & I do look forward to visiting again in the future and hopefully being able to give a completely different...
Read moreWhat can I say... The food was great, the service was exemplary and the atmosphere was buzzing! Yesterday, my family and our friend booked a table (3 ad, 8 kids) to celebrate my 32nd birthday. We met Liv, who seated us with a smile and helped us to get settled. Ordering took a little time as the kitchen had ran out of beef burgers, but thank you to the bar staff who were patient with us whilst we reorganised the kids meals. Our food arrived fast, piping hot and well presented - very big thank you to the kitchen team! Liv came to check on us during dinner and made sure we were happy with our food. She couldn't have been more helpful and retrieved a missing dip for my husbands curry feast from the kitchen. Our food was full of flavour and not even slightly greasy. I had steak which was cooked perfectly - a skill lots of people in the food industry don't have!!! After dinner our plates were cleared promptly. Liv then appeared with my cake, followed by another lovely member of staff (I'm so sorry I can't remember his name, he is very new). Both members of staff were smiling and singing happy birthday along with my family - the atmosphere was just amazing. Other customers began to join in singing too! It was such a lovely moment -despite my pink cheeks (haha). Liv was brilliant and got me some plates from the kitchen to serve the cake up with. I left some spare cake so that the staff could have some on their break. I really appreciate all the effort that went into making our meal special yesterday and want to say a massive thank you 💕 customer service skills like those demonstrated by the St Bernards team yesterday...
