ALDI — Local services in Birmingham

I am a resident of this local area and a regular customer at this particular ALDI store.

Today, on the date of 22.02.2022, I experienced an unfortunate incident at this ALDI store. I encountered disrespectful behavior from their security guard, who proceeded to follow me closely throughout each aisle. This made my shopping experience extremely uncomfortable. In light of this, I approached the female assistant manager to address the issue. However, her response did not meet my expectations. She dismissed my concerns, stating that it was the security guard's responsibility to monitor all customers. I found her reaction to be unprofessional and not taken seriously. Consequently, I made it clear to the store manager that I would no longer be patronizing their establishment.

Before leaving, I left my shopping in its original location. To my surprise, the security guard intercepted me and inquired about whether I had returned the items to their proper place. I was both upset and angry at his audacity to speak to me in such a manner, as if he owned the store and had the authority to dictate my shopping experience. None of the other staff members intervened or addressed my situation. I felt humiliated by the security guard's actions, as they unfolded in front of other customers and staff members. It seemed as though customer satisfaction was no longer a priority for the ALDI staff. I left the store feeling extremely disappointed.

Easy to park, plenty of space. Only leaving is there an issue trying to join onto the 40mph road. Simple to get a trolley as they are by the door. You do need the £1 coin or similar. Once in the entrance is kind of crowded by flower to close to the door and if someone at entrance in hanging about but once passed that it all open and the fruit begs are first. The best aisle is there the middle, the random stuff that's there, tools, garden furniture etc it just completely random stuff. Cheap and great stuff. Most of the foods do seem to be non vegetarian. Like some yogurts somehow are not suitable for vegetarians. They do stock Quorn products which is good if you like that. Halal isn't something big on the list of products I don't think it's on any. There is alcohol to the back of the store, and once you gone to checkout it's fun just trying to be at the cashier and getting everything in trolley without damage or crushing. Trick is to lay heavy first on the rollers. Overall nice place, there are more homeless showing up and do want that £1 from the trolley so if you tell your child to return the trolley they might not come back...

I am a regular here and have been for many years today I attended the store along with my three children my 12 year old child had no t shirt on with the temperature exceeding 30’c the moment we walked in the store the security guard Jamal told us to leave as my son didn’t have a t-shirt on, I asked him was he being serious he then walked off so I thought nothing of it and continued along with my shopping the security guard then came back with another member of staff for them to say I wanted a manager I replied no not at all explained the situation to be told we had to leave I then asked to speak to a manger which was a completely different one to I had previously been approached by, this manager a lovely female came out to address my issue for her to be told yes it’s a rule regarding adults which I completely agree with she then told me to continue shopping with my child which I refused as the attitude of the security guard Jamal and the other member of staff quoting he was the manager was by far from Professional they have now lost my valued weekly custom of spending at least £100 a time shame on them and disgusting lies and appalling...
