Sugarholics — Restaurant in Birmingham

Absolutely disgusted with this service- ordered waffles with ice cream. Firstly the order came late which I accepted because that can happen. However, the icre cream that came with the waffles was literally watery and melted and half of the pot only. Obviously you can't eat waffles without ice cream and this is unacceptable so I rang them and the girl on the phone kept leaving me hanging and eventually said a trainee made the ice cream hence the quality was bad (complete lie because how does a trainee make ice cream??) she expected me to accept this however I said they would obviously need to compensate me somehow so she said they would come and deliver ice cream to me but it would be an hour late. She was very rude too. I accepted this and waited all night for the ice cream meaning I did not eat the waffle as I waited and of course it didn't arrive! The waffles therefore got soggy and I had to throw them away. They looked horrible too- £8 gone down the drain. Anyway, today I called them to let them know of the situation and that the ice cream did not arrive. Apparently I spoke to the owner, who does not speak the most friendly or professional way, however I took the time and patience to understand what he said. He lied and said he himself delivered the ice cream which is impossible as a woman delivered it! Then he changed the story and said he admits it may have melted. This was confusing me as I thought the initial problem was the trainee made the ice cream LOL. Anyway, he kept trying to gas light me and make it as if it was MY problem that they delivered melted ice cream. So he said I can ask just eat for a refund which is not guaranteed or I should physically come into the store and order again. Of course I wasn't going to do that. I explained in consumer protection law it is the retailer that must put the consumer back in the position they'd have been in had the items been provided as they should have hence it isn't consumers responsibility to go and collect an item, it needs to be delivered to me. He then said the petrol will cost him ?! Well I'm sorry??? I paid for your horrendous service and item- maybe don't have a business contract with just eat if you can't afford to delivery food to people. Absolutely horrendous I would definitely stay away from ordering from here in case something...

This place has the best milk cakes I've tasted (and I've tasted a lot), I've never really been a big fan of milk cakes until I tried those from Sugarholics. What stood out to me as a differentiating factor was their 'milk' was also flavoured depending on the milk cake ordered, the other places I have ordered from used a generic milk element, this was the first that I discovered with a flavoured milk element, post trying this, several more shops offered flavoured milk. Back to Sugarholics, for me, both milk cake offerings were lovely but the Nutella milk cake was just spot on! Since discovering this place, I've since ordered it several times. Sadly though the most recent order I placed did not have the chocolate flavoured milk, it was regular white flavoured milk rather than chocolate, which is actually very noticeable in the taste of the milk cake. Will try again at some point and if the milk element returns to its former glory, I'll update to 5 stars. Portion sizes are really good too,...

10 out 10 all the time this is the only place ill eat from desert wise know. The food is always amazing here and milkshakes. Would recommend this place to anyone. The price is good and the portion sizes are amazing but the best thing ever is the owners here are so nice your always made to feel welcome here even when ordering. Even the service was 10/10 always i think the deserts here are the best in brum. The fact its handmade to is even more brilliant and tasty you would be missing out if you don’t try this...
