This was our second time purchasing sweets from Kundun. We really enjoyed them the first time, which is why we took a long drive specifically to buy sweets from there again. Unfortunately, today we were left disappointed due to the behaviour of two female staff members.Their attitude was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. They were making unpleasant facial expressions and showing obvious disrespect, which was surprising and quite disheartening. I was so taken aback by one of them that I even asked if she was okay because that’s certainly not how staff should treat customers. If the shop was about to close, they should have informed us politely when we arrived, rather than behaving rudely or making faces. My husband had initially asked about the prices and mentioned that if all sweets were priced the same, we’d like to get a half-kilo mixed box. They agreed at first, but then unexpectedly insisted we buy two mixed boxes instead. As a professional myself, I believe the bare minimum we owe each other is respect. Sadly, that was missing today. Read moreI usually don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience this time! I bought kaju katli yesterday, and I was a bit surprised. Before purchasing, I asked the staff if it was authentic kaju katli since it didn't have the traditional silver (chandi) covering. The girl at the reception assured me that it was the real one, just without the silver on top. I said it's fine, as long as the taste is good, it should be ok.
Unfortunately, when I tried it, it didn't quite taste 25% of the real authentic kaju katli I'm used to. I even gave a 1kg box to my guests, thinking it would be great, and now I find myself having to apologize for it. Considering the price, it felt more like a regular barfi than the delightful kaju katli I was hoping for. But, other things like Gulab jamun, pink ones, and samosa tasted good!
I really hope the quality improves, as I came in with high hopes after reading such...
Read moreMy wife and I went there for brunch and we both really enjoyed it 2 weeks ago. The food was fresh, tasty and delicious. The service was really good too. Afterwards as I got speaking to the staff members working there and the owner I realised what makes this business successful and why I had such a great dining experience. It is the love and passion the owner has for the food industry and genuine customer care and a good customer service from his team, he does not compromise on quality, he believes in buying the best quality ingredients and making good high quality tasty food and quality over quantity. Looking forward to going back again another day for brunch as I really enjoyed the Lamb Nihari and Karack chai. Thank you to everyone at Kundun sweets for a...
