Twelfth Man Edgbaston (Previously Edgbaston Sports Bar) — Restaurant in Birmingham

I had my wedding party at Edgbaston Tap on 30th July 2016. This is a very nice and warm pub, VIP room comes with a bar and a lovely garden, good idea to have BBQ in summer. This VIP room can easily fill up 60+ people. All of staff are very kind, helped me a lot on preparations like table setting and makes a beautiful Champagne Tower for us. We feel very sorry didn't help them to clean up the room, they've done it till to 3:00am , all party decoration has been saved for us and all foods has been packaged keep in the fridge, all of plates, glasses, chafing dishes, tongs, which are I heir from catering services has been cleaned up , packaged and ready for them collect back. They calculate all drinks on happy hour rates for whole day for me, this is saved me a lot of money. Highly recommended to everyone who looking to have event party celebration. These last few weeks have been infuriating. Its under new management and the locals r annoyed. There were no ibtroducrions, 'hello i'm x, i' m here from next monday. So wrve had the bar closed ater a oarty goer threw a popper or some such things. Locals were not served after this. The party finished early, police were called and pub closed next dat. Over laat two weeks the front exit nea tge shops have a ' use other door ' notice on. Should customers be sitting in a pub with alocked door? Oldtimers, used to one etrance / exit are having to walk further. There r 3 security guys for our 'protection i see it as intimidation. Christmas is coming. Local residents r used to christmas dinne. Old folks r used to a sunday afternoon meal. Alienating locals is not a good...

Don't be put off by its location, its a hidden gem, the staff are amazing they really care about customers, the beer is so amazingly priced for the Edgbaston area especially being right next to the cricket ground. 7 huge tv's showing every sport you can think of and during the cricket matches not a second is missed.
