Big Saj Balsall Heath — Restaurant in Birmingham

Ordered from Big Saj through deliveroo. I ordered from this place because where I normally go which a little further down to big saj weren't delivering today. I would avoid this place at all costs. I ordered a donner pitta and a scallop. the scallop was awfully greasy and simply full of oil. The donner kebab looked like it had been made by a child. the pitta looked like it'd been ripped up and the kebab just shoved into it. the kebab (I took some meat and tried it because of how it looked) tasted really old and built up of oil, extremely greasy that my hands were awfully oily from just trying to sort out the mess they made. they also disregarded the type of salad I wanted and added in stuff I didn't want in it. which I wrote clear in the order notes. so if your allergic to certain foods they will not care. I am actually intolerant to something they put in it. so the whole order went straight in the bin. no wonder the place further down does so much better because they care. deliveroo said contact the restaurant and they are the ones who deliver directly, but considering they didn't care for my requirements in the order notes, I don't think they'll care if I call. so a review is what...

Big Saj was recommended by a family friend so thought I would give it a try. When I first went in I did not think it would be up to my standards but I was wrong. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Greeted customers before orders where taken. I placed my order with Brother Awais who was the manager. The shop was quite busy as it was the evening where I placed an order of six items. Prices where not bad either. When I went home my family ate the food and were very satisfied. They all where very pleased and said they will definitely be making it one of their favourite chippies which they will start to visit regularly. Would definitely recommend you...

Absolutely disgusting service and scam. I went to the Showell Green Lane branch today 08/07/23 at 1pm. The worker in his 40’s served me. I asked for a small chicken donner and chips which is for £3. He spoke to me very rudely when he asked for my order, once he served me he gave me a medium portion so I asked him why as I ordered small, he just mumbled and then asked me for an extra £1 even though he already charged me for medium portion. I ended up paying £7 for a small chicken donner and chips and a 1 piece chicken and chips so I was over charged by £2. He should be ashamed of himself!!! I was a regular customer but after this I shall not go...
