Visited this hidden gem during Eid. It was my first time trying Yemeni food. The Brother at the till was very helpful with the menu. All other places at the time were either closed or full of young hijabi's causing mayhem. This was the only place that was quiet and peaceful. Other decent people were consuming here too. I ordered the Lamb Mandi as I was told it was their popular dish. It was the best lamb I've had so far. It was off the bone, melt in your mouth and scrumdiddlyumptious. The salad that came with it lifted the dish further and left my palate tingling for more. Usually my stomach disagrees with me if I eat lamb, especially with rice. This was the first time, me and my stomach were in agreement. The Yemeni tea was also nice and soothing. A perfect end to a great meal. If you are looking for good food, great customer service and some peace and quite. This haven is the best place to eat on Coventry Road 👌🏻

Wow! Food was amazing and so was the service. We ordered this authentic lamb stew called fahshah, the bread that came with it was beautiful. We ordered chicken mandi as well, they gave us chicken fahshah by accident which they corrected also they have us the additional dish on the house. So we had lamb fahshah with Yemeni bread, chicken mandi and 2 drinks at £18!!! Including complementary soup.

Decided to give this place a go. So glad we did. The place itself is decent and welcoming. They have a families area upstairs. The staff are lovely so accommodating welcoming and so much love and passion for the food. The prices are just brilliant. The food was just beautiful traditional Yemeni food very enjoyable. They take card too so will return.

If you’re someone who enjoys going out for breakfast then avoid this place at all costs. Save your hard earned money and spend it somewhere where they actually seem to know how to differentiate between an omelette and scrambled eggs. Ordered the ‘wadi protein breakfast’ and an omelette on the side and was shocked with what I received. The wadi protein breakfasts description said it comes with scrambled eggs and beans. Idk if the guy making my food was dyslexic but I clearly didn’t get either of those and instead got a dry omelette and a curry like sauce. As for the omelette that said it has a “mix of vegetables”, it came bland as hell with nothing in it. I could have made a better breakfast at home😂 do yourself a favour and...

Update: We used to LOVE this place, but sadly the food has gone downhill. Sometimes the bread is served burnt, and on the most recent visit they didn’t take the care to finish the meat in the oven like they used to and the lamb had soo much fat and bones and hardly any meat. It was so bad that despite being hungry I didn’t eat it, was still expected to pay despite the food being really poor; so i just paid and left.

I used to bring all my friends and family here, but it seems that due to the quality going so downhill, we will be finding somewhere else from now on.

Previous review: The Lamb Mindi is AMAZING, great staff, family friendly and our little boy LOVES their...
