The Black Horse — Restaurant in Blaby

Went to Blaby for a wander around. Went to a pub at top of the bank, was closed. The other pub (Fox and Tiger) is wet led. This bought us to The Black Horse. Now this review is going to be a bit mixed...

Walked in (wasn't sure if open as no A board positioned outside and door closed) and yes it is an old boys pub with its regular clientèle. We approached the bar to see that they sell baps (the locals call them "cobs") for just a quid and a half. Now these are pre prepared but best value for money I've had in a long time. I've been to and reviewed some "fine dining" establishments lately and in comparison to what I've found, these places charge up to £30 for a plate of unfullfillment and misery.

This place has surprised me, and with only the Bakers Arms serving food (at high end prices) I think this place could have the potential to possibly provide good quality food at...

Well I've always enjoyed going in the pub But on Sunday Remembrance Day ,7 of us went in for a drink ,My wine didn't taste good a Pinot I took it back to the bar person to tell her it just didn't taste good ,her Answer was,that is the pinot they serve and that's it !! Not a very good attitude either , didn't offer to give me another glass or a complementary one either,I bought a Chardonnay which was better ,But needless to say we didn't Stay after that , So I'm afraid you lost out on a few good rounds ,considering there was only about 6 other people in the pub when we walked in I would have thought you would have been glad of...

Women behind the bar more interested in chatting than serving, and very unprofessional to be vaping behind the bar whilst she is serving. I don’t want to see that, or smell it. Put me off my drink.

The women vaping was doing it whilst working with the landlady, so to say you have had a word with all the staff and it won’t happen again is laughable, you’ve just responded with what you want people to read, she does it right in front of the person running the pub, so you have made yourself look a bit...
