A group of 18 (women) of us visited this restaurant yesterday as an end of year meal and I can honestly say this place was extremely accommodating to our needs. We were allowed to sit in a segregated area of the restaurant where we were freely allowed to sit without the worry of men freely mixing. All waitering staff were excellent too and did not enter the place we were seated but rather left the food outside the dining area for us to simply place on the table with the exception of the hot tawas, However prior warning was given so veils could be put on (if needed).
We pre-ordered 3 special tawas and 3 chefs special biriyani (2 lamb/1chkn) all which was of amazing quality and taste. The tawas came with an option of naan /roti and we opted for naan . Which were fresh and tasty and complimented the food well. I would highly recommend both. The food was ready on arrival and arrived soon after all party was seated , piping hot and fresh. The portion sizes were perfect , and we had some left to take home too.
All in all, a fantastic meal out and I would highly recommend to families and large parties/groups.
I would like to express my compliments the chef and to brother Yasar who took my order and arranged the segregation and partiton facilities for us and the waiters who...
Read moreVisited the restaurant today to try out their buffet, and saw it was busy so decided to pay a visit. Manager asked me to follow him for a table, but then stops and begins talking to his friend for 2 minutes. Then asks me to follow him back towards the front door and wait. Few minutes pass, he then says "Fill up your plate with starters whilst I get someone to clean a table for you". Anyway, getting on to the food, there must have been a total of 5 starters, 5 main dishes and 1 dessert which is fair based on the price of £12 per adult. However half of the food was not edible, some of the starters/dishes were empty and not regularly refilled. None of the meals or dishes were labeled, so many customers were shouting over to the manager asking him what certain dishes are. Every food item I tried was cold, so I'm not sure what other people were enjoying whilst eating 🤷♂️. Walked out quicker than how long it took to be seated. Total came to £24 for 2 adults, gave £25 then the manager spent ages messing around with the till open so decided to leave without waiting for change (not about the £1 change, but it makes me think how using delay tactics for extra ££). Overall very poor service and food. Will not be returning and would not...

Home style cooked food. Wow. A casual restaurant although I noticed there is an upstairs lounge that you can reserve, but the chicken karahi, rice and roti I had last night was out of this world. It was nothing fancy, it was just good honest home cooked food. Ok, so it was a Friday evening when you expect it to be fresh, so I can't comment how the food is early in the week, but the chicken karahi I had was home style cooking and boy did it hit the spot. The price was reasonable too. I'm going back there this evening for a take out this time even though I live in Manchester. Places like this are absolute gems. 'Thank you' to the chef who cooked my meal last night. Keep it simple, keep it real, keep doing what you're doing.
06-July-2022. Still coming to this place even though it's 15miles away for me. Its consistently very good. Whenever I want home style cooked food, whether it's a karahi or dry food, this is the place I still go to (other than my mum's place of course). I mostly have the chicken, but tonight I also had the fish which was excellent.
Thanks Kohinoor for providing me great meals these...
