5/5/22 BEWARE DOUBT IN HALAL imo(please see picture for PROOF of this) asked regarding halal and non stunned chicken. was told by the owner that v soon they will be hmc and that all their meats was from the uk. Only to find boxes at the back of their property showing chicken frm "POLAND" (see picture).
im not saying the chicken is haraam. but there is definately more doubt in chicken from abroad, and doubt from unclear words from the owner. people need to be aware that eating doubtful food even if not done on purpose effects their iman and increases ones desire to sin. The Prophet PBUH says in a hadith to the effect "leave that which is doubtful for that which is not doubtful". stunned chicken and chicken from abbatoirs that are abroad and hard to contact adds doubt into the halal status of the chicken. We know that in today's modern money orientated world making shortcuts is the standard practice and that the "halal" certification badge is probably "king" in this regard, esp when we know companies who are employing blessed blades/mechanical slaughter/unacceptable level of stunning in order to make chicken cheaper. non stunned is more labour intensive hence expensive. ps i have emailed the slaughter house in poland and not heard back from them as to their method of slaughter. it has been 4 weeks 6/5/22 I have edited my review on the basis of your reply.
1 There is no doubt about mentioning that there is a âdoubtâ in the supply of your chicken being halal, the proof is clear; there is photographic proof of the chicken you supplied to customers, together with your lying about where you get your chicken from (I just spoke to a close friend who also informed me that you guys also told her when she asked about your chicken supply, that you said that your chicken supplier was HMC approved/non stunned. When it clearly is not. the chicken on the box is from poland and is definately not "hmc" approved). This is therefore not an accusation, but rather another proof.
Also if you read carefully, I did add âimoâ (in my opinion). I have gained this opinion by speaking to local scholars/teachers, who have all said that most stunned/mechanical/blessed blades in chicken slaughter render the status of halal of the chicken as doubtful (for most stunned) and haraam for the others. the scholars follow the hanafi mazhab. I also have friends who have owned abbatoirs in the uk, and have many friends who still work in the halal industry, so its not just words with no substance. I know how the halal system works better than most.
Chicken that is stunned (esp at the voltages used by most) prior to slaughter is at times dead before the muslim does the halal cutting. The halal status of the chicken is therefore doubtful according to most ulema in this field (please read hmc website, or do some basic research and you will find out). If your chicken is non stunned then please supply proof?if supplying proof, this must be done on a regular basis, so that customers can be sure things stay halal.
You have clearly misquoted the hadith.
4 Alhumdolillah, I did go on the MRU poland website before posting my 1st review. It does recognise that non stunned chicken is the âhighest standardâ of halal , however it doesnât state that this is the standard they use for all the halal certification they give out. Hence the reason why I emailed the slaughterhouse directly and am awaiting a response. If the website suggests that non stunned is the highest , it indirectly suggests that they also give certification on lower standards, also this indirectly suggests that there is a doubt in stunned chicken, which again brings speculation into the halal status according to most ulema who say that most stunned chicken is doubtful in being "halal".
I personally have no issue with you or your company, and I am not saying it is haram. But there is definitely a doubt (with proof). However you need to listen to customers who are giving you honest feedback, and would like yourselves as well as other muslim restaurants to reach the highest...
Read moreOrdered a ÂŁ28 meal, expecting a flavorful feast of grilled chicken and rice, grilled wings, a beef burger, and a grilled peri peri burger. While the seasoning showed promise, the execution was seriously lacking, and the experience felt like a missed opportunity. The grilled chicken and rice had decent flavor but was painfully dry, screaming for a sauce to save it. The grilled wings were a major letdownâthey had an off-putting smell, werenât grilled long enough, and barely had any peri peri sauce, leaving them undercooked and bland. The beef burger and peri peri burger suffered from untoasted buns, which were doughy and uninspiring. The burger sauce was also way too sweet, drowning out any grilled flavor. Delivery arrived in about 35 minutes, and the packaging kept things warm, but thatâs where the positives end. For ÂŁ28, I expected more care and passion from the kitchen, but the food felt carelessly thrown together. Thereâs potential here, but Players needs to step up their game big time....
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting this place. We ordered 3 burgers, a kids burgers meal and 2x double the time out burgers to be exact. After eating halfway through my burger I had realised it was raw in the middle and not cooked properly. This had raised red alarms and instantly ran to my little lads room to find out he had already eaten his burger and was hoping his burger was cooked thoroughly. But no me and the mrs had woken up the next morning to stomach pains and feeling sick and also our little lad now has food poisoning because of the lack of care. This place needs shutting down immediately if they canât send out food thatâs...
