I ordered at 7.30pm and the app told me that I would have my food by 8.25pm. So it got to 8.30pm and I hadn't received my order so I rang Cube and they told me the driver had already set off a few minutes ago so I waited.. 20 minutes go by and still no delivery, by the way we ordered 1 waffle and 1 cookie dough, now I'm unsure as to why it takes over 1 hour and 20 minutes to receive it. I ring Cube back up and told them that I still haven't received it. She was placing me on hold then told me she would ring the driver and then call me back.. So I waited for the call and at this point it was 8 minutes since I called them, and by the way the time at this point was 8.50pm so 1 hour and 20 minutes since I was 'supposed' to of received the 2 desserts..i ring back and ask why they did not call me back as I was waiting to then be told they cannot get hold of the driver, so in my mind I'm wondering why they never called me back to let me know instead I'm having to ring them 3 times to find out what's taking so long. I told her that I was tired of waiting and that the food will probably be cold so I will not be accepting the food and I wanted a refund and she told me that I would need to contact deliveroo for the refund. 5 minutes or so after getting off the phone, my door rings and its the driver, a young lad, I asked him why it took so long and his reply was 'em I don't know' I then asked how long has it been since Cube gave you the food to deliver to which he replied 'about 20 to 25 minutes ago' now baring in mind I live about 6 minutes from the restaurant so I can only assume he was messing around with his friends in the car because he didn't look old enough to drive.. I told him that I do not want the food and asked him to take it back as it would be cold now. I contacted deliveroo and they gave me a refund straight away. I dont even want to give them 1 star but had no option to give none. I will never order from Cube again I've had this problem before the delivery takes years and the food is always cold I should of learnt the first time and the restaurant just lie to you when you ask where the food is I would avoid if I was you!!!! Read moreFirst I wanted to give four stars because the waiters were attentive, and waffles were nice. Then the fact that they bring you food and then only after cutlery, kicked in. Then the toilet had no paper, no soap and no bin really shocked me as the staff might be using the same toilet - so how on earth do they wash hands if there is no soap? Not even a sign of it like empty bottle or soap holder. We came here after being snubbed by RF PatPatisse. But if we knew that you are part of them or vice versa, we wouldn't even bother. If you are a family business, please teach ALL of your staff to be nice, not only CUBE ones. The girl in RF was not welcoming and refused to accomodate us and said to wait 25 mins outside although the weather was rubbish. Even after I told her that for medical reasons I couldn't wait that long. They had 4 tables not reserved that could be moved together to accomodate us. There was a family with two joined tables there, so it was no reason to refuse us the same. First time in 16 years in UK such appalling customer service. While we were waiting 2 Asians and then 4 Asians came in and were seated. I went back and tried to move tables together so we could seat but she didn't let me even after I mentioned my medical situation. She tried to change her story saying that she told us to wait upstairs which was a lie. Well I told her to fear God and left. We couldn't wait and went to CUBE. Then that female came as if to spy on us to CUBE - I was shocked. Now, after reading their reviews I understand that you are guys part of one another. That was very wrong of her to appear at CUBE and to give me a harassing look. Left us feeling awful and harassed. Btw if she knew that you are partnered with RF, why she did not even suggest for us to go and be seated at CUBE? We only went to CUBE as I needed to eat ASAP and it was nearby and looked friendly. Read moreThere has been a huge decline in quality from Cube in relation to the customer service they provide. My wife ordered three lemon and lime mojitos as well as a nutella cookie dough for delivery and on arrival, due to the paper bag being ripped from the bottom, two of the three drinks spilt in my mums living room. Upon calling to complain regarding this, the worker was explicitly ignorant of the fact and rather than offering to deliver as soon as possible he stated that the next possible delivery time would be 2 hours after the aforementioned call. We eventually agreed to collect the order and the manager claimed that liability was on us and that “obviously it is going to spill. It’s a mojito.” This essentially berates the fundamental concept of the fact that the customer’s complaint should always be considered as a foremost responsibility. It also isn’t the first time this has taken place. The mojito has spilt twice more. Once in my car and once in a different address. We are considering lodging a formal complaint with the council in regards to this as it is a health and safety precaution that has been violated and definitely won’t be ordering from here until basic issues like this are taken seriously and resolved. If the manager sets a precedent that the customer is wrong, the workers will follow suit and that is not what customers expect.
